Apologize

Chapter 2

                         2 hours later
                        Time: 9:13pm

Kate starts to wake up....

Kate: My leg hurts and my head...
Ally: I'm so sorry
Kate: (a little startled) why are you sorry?
Ally: I did this to you..
Kate: So? I don't care.
Ally: yeah you do. I was driving the wrong way and I hit you head on.
Kate: It's alright. Do I know you from somewhere?
Ally: Yeah I'm Ally Stucky from  Elementary School.
Kate: (gasps) Oh My Gosh!! I haven't seen you for so long!
Ally: yeah and I almost killed you.
Kate: so you wanna hang out?
Ally: yeah but they are taking you to the X-ray machine on this floor and I'm going upstairs because your injuries are more serious then mine.
Kate: It's only a few broken bones.
Ally: the doctors think you broke your left wrist/elbow, right femur, right ankle, fractured left side of pelvis, minor concussion, 2 broken fingers. That's all!
Kate: I'll be fine, but more important what did YOU break?
Ally: possible broken wrist and elbow. Minor concussion. Nothing severe.
Dr. Bayler: ok Kate we will take you to get X-rays now on your femur, ankle, elbow, wrist, pelvis, and 2 fingers. And Ally the nurse will take you to floor 2 to get an X-ray on your elbow and wrist.
Kate was wheeled out first, then Ally. They were taken to different rooms after the X-rays.
             The next day...
Ally asks the nurse what room Kate is in. The nurse tells her room 152. Ally then walks to Kate's room.
Ally: Hey
Kate: Hey! Did you break anything?
Ally has a purple full arm cast and a blue sling.
Ally: Yeah, fractured elbow and broke my wrist in 2 places. What about you?
Kate has a light blue cast that goes down her whole right leg and goes around her hips and up to her belly button. ( a hip-spica cast) And also a pink full arm cast on her left arm. Plus two fingers in splints and athletic tape.
Kate: shattered femur, broken ankle, fractured pelvis, broken elbow, dislocated wrist, and two broken fingers. It will all heal though.
Ally: Do you want some breakfast?
Kate: Yeah I'm coming with you though. Come here and help me.
Ally comes over and lifts Kate into a partially reclined wheelchair since she had a cast up to her stomach.
Kate: Grab my arm sling please.
Ally grabs the sling and puts it on Kate's arm.
Kate: Sorry I can't help at all. It hurts really bad if I move to much.
Ally: Again, I'm so sorry for everything.
Kate: you can stop apologizing. I will never hate for anything. You just moved here and now you have this to deal with all this!
Ally: But look at you! You are covered in casts and splints and scratches and bruises.
Kate: stop worrying and let's go get some breakfast!
Ally pushes Kate to the cafeteria and she fills her plates with her requests at the breakfast buffet. Then Ally wheels Kate to a table and sets her food in front of her. Then Ally goes and gets her food and sits down by Kate. Kate takes off her arm sling and starts to eat. Ally does the same except she left her arm sling on since it hurt to have it off. After they finished, Ally wheeled Kate back to her room. Ally then helped Kate back into her bed and put her sling on her arm. After all that they put an ice pack on Kate's broken fingers. The nurse came in and gave Kate her pain medications.
Ally: Can we share this room please?
Nurse: Sure! We will move your (Ally's) bed into here.
Ally- thank you so much!
The nurse wheels in Ally's bed.
Ally-I'm gonna go to the vending machines and get a drink. I'll be right back.
Ally then leaves and goes to the top floor. Not for a drink but for something else. Ally opens the window and pops the screen out very silently. No one was around since the top floor was only storage. She then crawled to the edge of roof and looked around for concrete. After she found some she heard a voice calling her name.
Nurse- Ally stop!
But Ally jumped anyway. She was startled when she fell though so she flipped on the way down and she landed on her feet. She heard the nurse run out the front entrance. Ally's whole body went numb. And she passed out.
