She hands us our schedules with shaky hands. I'm about to thank her, but then I remember that I'm not that kind of person anymore.
I'm not Vivienne anymore.
I'm Riley. A mean, badass bitch who doesn't thank people for something they were supposed to be doing anyway.
I simply turn on my heel, and follow Konnor out. Seeing as though he knows his way around here a bit more than I do, that's probably what Ill continue to do until I get the hang of things around here.
We both stop, and read our schedules.
We have all of our classes together. Even advisory.
Well, that seems helpful.
"Question," I say, not looking up from my schedule.
"Hmm?" He asks, doing the same.
I look up.
"Have you been here before?" I ask, looking right at him. He looks up, and raises an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I did a tour, while you were sick last week," He stated, making it subtle.
I slowly nod.
"Does that mean you can bring us to all our classes?" I ask, trying to see if there is any flaw in his acting skills.
"Well, if we still wanna go to that movie with Luke and Nicky, we're gonna new to miss 8th hour." He lied smoothly, looking down at his phone, which has now replaced the schedule.
He's acting like this is real.
Damn he's good!
I decide to just play along.
"Oh yeah! You're right! I almost forgot! Plus we have to go pick up Luke all the way in Acadia Falls. That's like, half an hour away, so we'll need time to get there, and back. Nicky said she would just meet us at the theater." I said, now looking at my phone after shoving the schedule in my pocket.
I hear him chuckle under his breath.
I'm pretending to look at something on my phone, and I remember that I don't have his number. How are we supposed to live together if we don't have eachother’s numbers?
"By the way, I need your new phone number. Since you didn't even bother telling me," I state.
I watch as he opens his mouth to speak, but is unterupted by the warning bell. We have 5 minutes to find our advisory room.
"Come on. We have to go to advisory." Konnor says, putting his arm over my shoulder.
It sucks. Even in these heels, he's still got me beat by about 4 inches.
We walk down the hallway, ignoring all the eyes watching us.
Judging us. But that's good.
We need to be known.
We take a few turns before we reach room 142. Mrs. Olson. I look at Konnor, and take a deep breath.
Here we go.
We walk into the room, and there are a few people, split into a few groups, just sitting around and chatting. We seemed to have slipped in unnoticed.
I look up at Konnor, and he just shrugs. We walk over, and sit in two side by side empty desks.
"Oh yeah. Here," Konnor says, grabbing my phone. He unlocks it with ease. I look at him gaping. He looks at me, and chuckles.
"How did you do that?!" I question, now knowing that he is able to get into my phone.
He smirks.
"Mom gave me your password," He says, putting my phone back onto my desk.
Mother!
I open up my phone to see what he did. It opens straight to my contacts. I scroll, and I find 'The cool twin' now on speed dial.
"Really?" I ask, in a sarcastic tone. He just smiled and shrugs.
"Gotta stay in character." He says.
He's right. I haven't seen him go out of character since we got here.
I hear someone clear their throat behind me. Both Konnor and I turn to look at them.
It's a blonde girl, wearing bootie shorts, and way too much makeup. Plus her two entourage.
"Yes?" I ask, raising an eyebrow questioningly.
"Uh, you're in my seat. You need to move," she says in a bratty, nasally voice.
I gasp.
"Wait!" I say with fake franticity, "What is your name?!"
"Um... Alayna?" She answers, looking kind of scared.
I frantically scramble to look so over, and under, the desk.
"Phew!" I say, pretending to wipe the sweat off my forehead.
I immediately go back to a serious face.
"Sorry Alayna, but I don't see your name anywhere. Therefore, you and your blockheads can move. You're blocking my light," I say.
She stands there gaping at me with a dumbfounded look on her face.
"UGH!" She yells, stomping her foot like a two-year old.
I stifle my laughter until she walks out of the room. Once I can no longer hear the clack of her God awful ugly shoes, I look to Konnor.
We break out laughing.
"Nice one, Riles!" Konnor says, reaching out his hand. I fistbump him.
"I know." I say, pretending to hawtily shine my nails.
I open my mouth to say something to Konnor, when I am interrupted by the door closing. I turn to see a middle aged woman walking to the front, her back facing me.
She turns to us. By us, I mean the class. When I see her face, I almost can't hold in a gasp.
Hey guys! Cliffy! So, I'm hoping its not obvious,(which it totally might be,) but....
Who is Mrs.Olson???
Comment if you have an idea!
Well, bye for now!
