Everything was washed in an eery grey from a dim, hanging, light in the center of the room. From the corner you had been occupying since you were thrown in here you could make out four cement walls with two doors, one of which was metal and heavily bolted. The other, made from wood, seemed out of place. Looking around, you see two metal cots. Each had a mattress that was roughly an inch thick, but there was no other furniture in the room. While you were looking around, your eyes caught to a particularly dark corner, which you hadn't noticed until now. You could have sworn the shadow had moved, but after watching it for several minutes you put it to nerves. You could only guess that you had already been in this cell of a room for thirty minutes. Slowly, you got up, still afraid that the men who had thrown you in here were nearby. But if they were, they'd have done something. Wouldn't they? Crossing the room and lying down, you felt the uncomfortable metal poles of the cot on your back through the thin mattress, so you added the second one from the other cot. This was slightly better. As you lay there, all the events that led to this played in your head. You weren't anyone special. Why had this happened to you?
You were a simple graphic designer living in a very average apartment in Washington DC. Sure you knew your way around a computer but how could that land you here. After encountering your capturers you had tried to defend yourself but even the eight years of boxing that your father had forced you through as a kid was no match for their syringe full of a drug that quickly knocked you out. But you couldn't believe that these people had grabbed you right before you were going to bed, maybe if you hadn't forgotten to take out the trash that morning your night would have been different but instead you're locked in this cell in a very uncomfortable bed. Why me?
Your self pity session was cut short by a sound coming from the dark corner. This time you knew for sure you had heard something. You looked towards the corner to see something poke out from the corner. It looked like a hand but it was made of metal. Your heart beat speed up as whatever was attached to the hand got up and you could tell that whomever was in the shadow easily toward over you. The figure stepped out of the shadows eyes staring into yours and fear struck your heart. You knew who this was. There was no doubt in your mind. This man or rather monster in front of you was non other than the Winter Soldier. Your face was a clear give away on your feelings as your eyes widened in fear. You tried to get up and run, where to? You didn't know but you wouldn't be given the chance to find out as your body was glued to the thin mattresses below you. You were stuck, every fiber in your body refused to move because it was to fearful of the man in front of you. Holding eye contact the man came closer to your cot finally regaining control of your body you slowly moved off the cot and instead against the wall behind it. To your luck he stoped short of you and laid on the cots and before he closed his eyes he stared at you in a warning manner. Then he closed his eyes and slowly his breath evened out and you knew he had fallen asleep.
Twenty minutes later you decided it was okay for you to move. You quietly tip toed towards the wood door curious if it could get you away from him. You opened the door but couldn't find the light switch. With your fingers you traced to wall for it but instead felt a shelf. You moved your fingers along the shelf curiously but this was a wrong move because your hang bumped into something and the next second there was a loud bang on the floor by your feet. You went to look and see if the soldier had woken up but as you poked your head around the door frame you felt cold metal fingers around your neck and you were lifted into the air.
Your Pov:
I instantly brought my hands up trying to pry his hand from my throat. I couldn't breath and the mix of pain from his grip and the fire forming in my lungs from lack of oxygen was excruciating. His blue eyes dug into mine causing fear to mix with my pain. How could someone have a blank face while chocking another? His eyes were a hard fixed blue without any emotions being shown. With a strong flick of his hand he had thrown me across the room into a wall. I screamed out as my back hit the wall.
"Shut up!" He barked at me. My entire figure was crumpled against the wall while I coward in fear as he neared me I could almost see something in his eyes change as he looked at my shaking form. But as soon as the look appeared he shook it of and turned away back towards the cots but not before giving me a glare. As he laid down I let my body fully collapse onto the floor it ached and I felt as if I couldn't move so I didn't and I'm not sure if it was due to actual exhaustion or lose of air to my brain but I feel asleep on the cold concrete floor.
This is my first time writing a story so I'm sorry if there are mistakes, feel free to tell me about them I would love feed back. So I hope you liked it and this is my first and only disclaimer- I don't own marvel or any of their characters and I obviously don't own you. But yeah I hope you enjoyed and have a great day! Love ya you beautiful person you!
