chapter 10- hanging out

Dippers POV - (Finally)

I would've asked her out on a date but I couldn't. I was scared.
What if she said no
That would be embarrassing
Today {name} and Pacifica we're about to fight.
Luckily I stopped them before they could even start.
{Name} told me it was because she didn't want me to go out with Pacifica and leave {name} alone.
I was disappointed because I got my hopes up thinking it was because she liked me.

I had to wait for {name} for an hour because she got detention.

" Hey, dipstick" {name} said walking out of class.

"Hey dork-brain" I punched her arm playfully.

"Ouch that hurt physically and emotionally" {name} said looking like she was about to cry

I felt bad

"Sorry I didn't mean t-" she interrupted me

"Ahahha you felt for it" {name} laughed at me

"Wow -3- how dare you," I said

I took her into the woods.

"Wow this doesn't seem rapey at all"  {name} said

"N-no it's not like that," I said scared she might run away

"I'm joking dipstick, I trust you"  {name}said

S-she trusts me?

I took her back to the waterfall from last time.

"Wow this place again I can't get over its beauty" {name}  said.

That makes two of us. But I'm not talking about the waterfall.

I wish I could tell her that but it would just ruin things.

"Wanna go swim," I asked

"I rather read my favorite book" {name} said as she pulled out her book.

"What is it about," I asked

"Its called 'a tale dark and Grimm' and its a series of today's fairytales being told the original way.where they actually tell the way things happened the dark and Grimm way. My favorite is the one about Hansel and Gretel."   {name} explained

"Cool tell me more I said staring at her lips as she talked."

It was getting late and I need to take her home.

"We should go  {name}. "I sad standing up

"Yeah" she answered as she stood up as well.

Her face in the sunset light. It's so beautiful.

Once I got her home we said our goodbyes.

I looked at my watch 8:37

The store hasn't closed yet.

I walked to the store and bought a medium box, roses, a teddy bear. {Name} told me she didn't like chocolate much. So I went to McDonald's.

I went to the drive-thru and when the order speaker spoke I heard a familiar voice.

"Welcome to McDonald's, are you ready to order" its Wendy

"Hey Wendy its dipper, may I have 60 cookies please," I spoke

"Whoa why would you need that many" Wendy asked

"Tomorrow's valentines day," I said

"Oh, lonely day huh," Wendy said

"No, no, no. It's for my valentine" I said I can't believe she thought that

"Oh, sorry dude, who's the not so lucky girl," Wendy asked

"HEY, its this girl she moved into town 2 days ago and I really like her," i said

"Nice" Wendy said

*beeeep* "YOU'RE HOLDING UP THE LINE"  a random person yelled

"Oops sorry," I said

Wendy laughed.

I got the cookies. {Name} told me how much she loves it.

I put all the cookies in the box then went to bed.
