Soooooo I'm back y'all :). A lot of people were telling me this started off really good so I guess should continue it. So here we go. We left off with Braxton's first day of her senior year of high school. Meeting some friends who happen to be Zonnique, Bahja, and Bre. Also, the boys themselves, Roc, Ray, Prince, and Prod. A new character will be introduced in this chapter. Her name is Chase and she will be Braxton's best friend since kindergarten, however she goes to a different school. Hope you enjoy this chapter. :)

Braxton's POV

Why? Just why do I have to wake up every morning for the same bullshit?

I lay in my bed thinking to myself. I was awoken by my busy parents arguing down the hall in their bedroom. I've never heard them argue so loudly, especially not loud enough to wake me out of my sleep. From what I could make out, they were arguing about me. My dad being the businessman he is, is almost never home as much as Mom. Mom makes time for me and for us to do things together. Whereas my dad, bills come first in this house. All my mother wants is him to be apart of my senior year. Me? I don't really care. My parents already do a lot for me as it is so it's understandable my father is never really home. I would like him more apart of my senior year but you can't have everything you want in life.

I manage to get myself out of my bed and to get myself ready for school. Trying to drown out the loud shouts and door slamming. Showering and quickly washing my hair leaving it to air dry while putting it up in a really messy bun. Throwing on my gray and neon green PINK sweatshirt and matching sweatpants with my brown classic uggs, I towel dry my hair one last time before leaving my room to climb down the flight of stairs to the kitchen. Hearing my phone start to play "T-Shirt" by Migos, I look to see my best friend of all time, Chase calling. Pressing the green answer button, I greet her.

"Hello?"

"HEYYYYYYY BEST FRIENNNNDDDD!"

I swear I never understood how this girl could wake up and be so excited in the morning.

"Hey girl, wassup?" I chuckle as she laughs after nearly screaming in my ear.

"Nothing much, driving to go get breakfast. I called because I heard from a little birdy, you have eyes on you over at Westbrook High."

One thing about this girl, she knows EVERYTHING. There's not secret that can be kept from Chase. The sad part is... she's not even nosey. She just finds out everything.

"Honestly girl, I don't know what you're talking about."

I try to play it smooth as if I don't know she's talking about Ray. It's nothing going on between us. We text here and there but I'm focused on school and my dancing. No boy is getting in the way of that. I let it happen once but never again.

"Now you know damn well what the hell I'm talking about. Since when you and Rayan from Mindless freaking Behavior so close? And when were you gonna tell me, YOUR best friend?"

Sighing before I answer I try to gather all of my thoughts. Even though Chase's tone is playful, you can hear the seriousness at the back of her throat.

"C, it's nothing I promise. We are really just friends. You know how I feel about boys and them interfering with my school."

She smacked her teeth and I know she rolled her eyes as she paused to order her breakfast. I can tell she's at Chick-fil-A by what she ordered. She thanked the person taking her order before returning back to me.

"B, you only like that because of Daniel. Daniel broke your heart when he started getting hella popular from music and you slacked off from school because you didn't know how to cope. Girl, a harmless crush won't hurt you. You just got to know how to control yourself. I think you should talk to Ray. He seems like he's nice and got himself together."
