John was starting to get sick of the endless walking they were doing and Mr. Grump wasn't too happy as well John wondered when they'd get out of this forest and back to the bus but then John was falling and then landed with a thud he looked up to see Mr. grump staring at him John said smartly "you better help me up or you'll get fired" Mr. Grump knew he was right so he reached down and tried to pull John out of the pit but then he heard a growl so he quickly pulled John up and turned around to see a tiger behind him so they quickly started running so they don't get eaten by the tiger as they ran they climbed hills and swam across lakes after a long time of running they saw a gate they were relieved to have found the exit they climbed over the gate and ran to they got to the bus they got on the bus and John, Mr. Grump and the class drove off on the way back Mr. grump said "you know when we get back you've got detention right" and John answered "yeah I know but at least we made it back alright" on that John and Mr. Grump could agree so after detention John got picked up by his mum and she wasn't too happy so he was grounded but John knew he would have a lot of explaining to do when he got home but he wouldn't have it any other way.
