Chapter 4

Natalie's POV
"I don't wanna go." I whined.
"I don't care." Ethan said. He put his shirt on and walked out of the bedroom.
I put my hair in a messy bun on top of my head and got dressed. I decided to just wear a hoodie and sweats, its just school.
I ran downstairs and saw Ethan sitting on the couch with his phone in his hand. He looked at me and gave a small smile. He got up and put his shoes on.
"Come on babygirl we gotta go." He said grabbing his keys off the table and running out the door. I ran after him and got in the passenger seat of his truck.
"I can't believe I still have to go to school. I haven't even went home yet and I'm already being dragged to school." I said. Ethan ignored me and backed out of the driveway.

"Heyyy bitch what's up" Grayson said. I can't believe I have to see him in school now. I was kinda hoping they would lock him in a mental institution.
I walked down the long hallway dragging my feet, dreading my next class. I have it with Ethan so I guess it's not too bad.
"Where you going?" I heard Grayson call from behind me. He caught up to me and blocked my way. I tried to move around him but he's like a mind reader, he knew every move I made before I made it.
"Grayson please leave me alone." I pleaded.
"Nah, the fun's just getting started." He said. I felt his cold hand smack across my face. I dropped my books and held my face, which was now red.
"Please," I cried, "please leave me alone Grayson." He smirked and walked away. I'm already hating school and its only my first day back.
I picked up my books and continued my journey down the now dark, narrow hallway. I stumbled upon a lost girl, she's probably new.
"Hi, I'm Natalie. Are you lost?" I asked.
"Yeah I can't find room 204, do you know where that's at?" She asked.
"Oh yeah that's where I'm going."
"Great so I'll just follow you then." She said walking next to me.
"Where did you move from?" I asked.
"Michigan." She said with a half smile.
"Oh I have family down there, that's cool." I said. The rest of our walk was pretty much quiet. Every once in a while I'd make smart remarks about people in the hallway, it's kinda my thing.
We finally got to our class.
"Mrs. Wren, so nice of you to finally join us." The teacher said.
"Sorry Miss. Terron, I was showing the new girl around the school." I said as I sat in my seat next to Ethan.
"Yea I'm glad you could make it, you're only late by 30 minutes." Ethan whispered sarcastically. I flipped him off and turned to the front of the room.
"What's your name?" The teacher asked the new girl.
"Stephanie." She replied.
"Well Stephanie you can choose any empty seat. Welcome to 3rd period English." She said giving a weak smile.
"Come sit by us." Ethan said. He smiled at me and turned to Stephanie. "I'm Ethan, nice to meet you." He said shaking her hand.
"We should hang out after school sometime." I said.
Her eyes lit up, "of course, what's your number?" She asked. I put my number in her phone and she texted me so I would have hers.
"Call or text me whenever." She said.
"That's how girls make friends? You just exchange numbers? Neat." Ethan said chuckling.

Ethan's POV
"No, goddammit! I said stay away from her." I yelled.
"Look Ethan, I know this isn't what you want, but it's what I want. And I get what I want. I'm getting her one way or another. You can either just give her to me, or I kill her. Your choice." Grayson said crossing his arms.

A/N I feel like this chapter was boring. I feel like idk where im going with this book. It'll come to me I swear.
