Halloween Enchantment

Crackling leaves of crimson, amber and gold

Wind that bites your skin, oh, so bitter cold

Sky so dark, happiness is sucked out of the world

Through all the branches, quickly, the breeze whirled

But there are the pumpkins with their bright glow

They warm my heart ever so

Children laughing, swinging their tubs

Even though their costumes rub

The moon looms over, lighting the scene

I stroll to a tree and there I lean

This plant is so smooth, it’s softer than sand

I smile as I watch this beautiful land

The Three Witches

Three witches are we

Three witches are we

When we meddle, we laugh with glee

All helping happily

Three witches are we

Three witches are we

The sting of a bee, now that’s the key

And a leaf from the tallest tree

Three witches are we

Three witches are we

It’s them too so don’t blame me

Now would you like a witch cup of tea?

POOF!

Bloodthirsty Bats

Rough wings like leather

In good or bad weather

They will fly up

The blood they take could fill a cup

Flap, flap, through the night

They soar higher than a kite

On the trees, they pirch below

Sitting neatly, in a row

Then they’ll hang upside down

Makes them look like a clown

But never be fooled

Or your blood will be ruled

Over for evermore

Your scream will sound like a roar

Pumpkin Smash

On Halloween, their features shine

They’re set out, in a line

From time to time

There’ll be a pumpkin crime

They will be smashed to bits

They don’t have first aid kits

But with good luck

And a disposal truck

They’ll be just fine

Set out in their line

Vampire’s Thoughts

Eating

Sleeping

Walking

Talking

They have something on their mind

Writing

Tighting

Running

Being cunning

Blood’s all they ever think about

The Bloodthirsty Dogs

The way they move around

Quickly, at a bound

There’s no denying they are vampires

The way their fangs drip

Saliva round their lip

There’s nothing else they could be

The way their eyes glare

Follow you everywhere

There’s no other possibility

The way that they growl

As they go and prowl

What else could they be?

Vampires

Mr Bones

Skeleton’s are we

My friends, my family and me

Don’t ask how it could be

Even I don’t have the key

Together, taller than a tree

One bone is very wee

No mouth to have our tea

Yet we still buzz like a bee

A remarkable thing to see…

The Dark Days of The Devil

A shadow upon us all

Monsters big and small

Crimson red blood

Goodbye pretty buds

Dark mist upon the land

Silent without a band

Sharp piercing horns

Goodbye yummy corn

True days of darkness

A world filled with sadness

Are the dark days of the devil

Autumn Leaves

Not one same to another

None have a brother

Each an individual

Process like a ritual

A blend of brightess

The tree is their fortress

Crimson, hazel, amber and gold

Blow through wind ever so cold

The crunching as you stamp through

Can this lovely world really be true?

A whirlwind of colour

Never dull… Ugh!

A true beauty to this land

Sweetie Wonderland

Out on the streets, they all rush

“Trick or Treat!” they chorus

One by one, they fall into the pot

Soon enough, they’ve got a lot

But never will they give up

Way too many, to fit in a cup

All the colours of the rainbow

The kids are happy, ever much so

They smile from ear to ear

Never will they shed a tear

But by the time they get back

There sweet supply is starting to lack…
