It was a normal day on the Thousand Sunny for the Straw Hats: Robin was reading a book on the deck; Sanji was preparing food for lunch; Zoro was training in the crow's nest; Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp were playing around; Franky was in his workshop fixing something or another; Brook was watching the others as he played his violin; and you were calmly sunbathing next to Robin.
But wait, where was Nami? Ever since you joined the crew a few months ago, the orange haired girl has come off as a bit shy, although the rest of the crew has told you differently. "She's really scary when mad, so don't touch her money!" Your captain had warned. "Nami-swan is so charming! Such a beauty!" Sanji cooed to you at one point. And Robin had also commented, "She's never been a shy one. She's never afraid to speak her mind."
But that's what bothered you. Whenever you approached the orangette, she'd always shy away from you and start stuttering. Had you done something wrong? Did you scare her? All these questions swam around in your head because, well, to be frank you had a crush on her! When you first had met her on your home island, she had seemed so brave, fighting off all of those marines with her Climatact. And her smile... Gosh, don't even get you started on her smile!
Either way, it seemed that the orangette hated you. She acted so different around you, so that was the only feasible explanation, right? Well, you were going to find out. (GO READER GO!)
You decided to go find her, and the place she'd most likely be in was the girl's cabin. You headed there immediately in search of your crush. As soon as you arrived you opened the door a small crack so you wouldn't alert her to your presence. As you thought, Nami was at her desk, focused on a map. Now was your chance! You knew Robin had just started her book, and the others never went near the girls' cabin, so you two were all alone.
You opened the door a bit more so you could fit through and walked towards Nami. "Hey there, navigator." You revealed yourself, startling her. "I have a question."
Nami turned towards you. "Y-yes?" She asked tentatively. She turned a bit stiff and a heavy blush coated her cheeks. "What is i-it?"
You leaned over her, as she has been sitting down still, and trapped her between your arms. "Why don't you like me?" You stated rather bluntly as you tilted your head to the side.
"H-huh? What are you t-talking about, (Y-Y/N)?" Nami inquired, a bit startled. She finally looked you in the eye.
"You never look at me, Nami. And you're avoiding me as well." You looked away, blushing a bit from Nami's adorableness. "It... It hurts a lot. It hurts because I love you."
Nami let out a small gasp. "Y-you... you love me?"
You nodded and backed away from her, thinking that you disgusted her. "Yeah. I do. Sorry." You were about to turn away when a slender hand grabbed your (s/c) wrist.
"N-no! Don't go! I love you too!"
You were surprised by the shy girl's sudden outburst, but happy all the same. She loved you back! You turned around to face Nami and pulled her into a sweet kiss. She tangled her arms around your neck as you pulled her closer to deepen the kiss. She tasted like her favorite tangerines, and you loved it.
After a few minutes, the need for air became too much, and you separated. "I love you, (Y/N)." Nami said shyly, a blush coating her cheeks.
"I love you too, my adorable navigator."
Somewhere else on the Ship!
Robin let out a small giggle, much to the surprise of the others on deck. Was her book really that funny? "Hey, Robin, what are you laughing at?" Luffy asked.
"Oh nothing. I think there's a new couple on board, though." Was Robin's only reply.
