Songs that were background noise during this chapter:

"It sounds so sweet, coming from the lips of an angel, it makes me weak." - Lips of an Angel, Hinder.
Authors Note: Now children, this is a story about two young (teenage) boys, and contains boys who like other boys. There will be guys kissing guys, and maybe even a lemon later? If you're all good. ;)

Chapter 1: Angel.
"Goddamni't again?!"
Caleb had watched this all before, every night in fact. He knew his part down to a T. There was no choice in being involved anymore. Because, as anyone else in this situation could tell you, there's no way out once you're in.
It’s like opening a door, and letting things... people in. Like a swift but comforting breeze, something you become accustomed to. You will never ever be able to close that door again. You can try with all your might, but the breeze that used to be comforting, turns into a violent wind. And all of a sudden, everything that you were used to, familiar with.. is so different. And there’s nothing left.
Teenagers are stupid. Everyone knows it. But Caleb knew that it has gotten to the point where people take advantage of that information. And they don't even try to think things through anymore, because they have an excuse. He knew that wasn't right, and prided himself on trying to be one of the people who didn't follow in the steps of normal society. But he also blamed that on the fact that he lived in an out casted portion of town. So even if he wanted to be normal, he couldn't pull it off. He could only just.. be.
Andrew on the other hand, 'embraced' what he could of the beat down part of town. He embraced it all. The drugs, the alcohol, the robberies, the gangs. Every drug he could pop into his system before he passed out. Every drop of liquor he could fill his mouth with, without causing alcohol poisoning. Every fucking theft that he could get in on, without pissing off the gangs that already had it out for him. Andrew was a bitch and a half to take care of. And boy did Caleb know it after spending almost 16 years growing up in the same house as his brother. But he could never muster any hate for his brother, only the things he did to himself and Caleb. Andrew was 17 years old, yet his 15 year old brother had more maturity than Andrew had ever shown. And that was precisely the reason that Caleb was out in the chilly winter air at this time in the morning. He was going to pick up Andrew at the Pit, even if he craved the warmth of his bed right now. Caleb knew it was extremely dangerous for a boy like him to be out at this time of night. He already got enough unwanted attention from older guys with his delicate face and freckles that made him look young and (according to one of sed guys) "pretty".He may only be 5'1 but the guy had earned a kick in the teeth for that comment. Despite Caleb's outward appearance, he was not someone to take shit from people.
