Braxton
God, that woman drives me absolutely nuts. Is she fucking crazy? We are in a city she has never been to before at nine at night and she is going exploring alone. Has she never seen any Unsolved Mysteries before?
She's got my blood boiling, but I know Cade is taking it a lot harder. I pat him on the back as we ready to be the first band to play. "Hey, you okay, man?"
He glares back at me, understandably upset. "We've never been apart, Brax, not since that day. What if...what if something happens to her?"
"Nothing is going to happen to her," I reply, attempting to calm his nerves. "She's smarter than we give her credit for, and let's face it, you guys aren't twelve years old anymore. She can take care of herself. Plus, if anything bad happens, you've got that twinning thing going for you, right? Like instant intuition." I don't know if my words make any difference to him, but he huffs and then goes back to tuning his guitar.
At first, I think she is just being stubborn. I think there is no way she would miss one of Cade's show. She never has...but when we get to the final song and there is still no sign of her, I'm passed worried-I'm pissed. She knows how much he worries about her, and to do this on the first night of the tour was a bitch move. I hope she gets better by tomorrow, or this might turn into the road trip from hell.
There is a brunette in the corner of the room who has been eye-fucking me since we got onstage. Her breasts are perky and large and she is wearing a skintight blue dress that barely covers her cleavage, and hugs her in all the right places. She licks her lips slowly as we finish our song, clapping in rhythm.
"Tell me you see it," Cade says from beside me.
"Oh, I see it."
"Good, because if you didn't, I was about to call dibs," he says cracking a smile. "That's okay, they'll be plenty more of that on the road." He pauses rolling up a cord. "Hey, you haven't seen her...have you?"
If there is one thing that makes Cade soft, it's Em. I've never seen him care for anyone like he does about her. I shake my head. "No, sorry man."
He sighs. "It's fine. She'll be back. She has to make it to the next city somehow."
We continue packing up our equipment and although I know I'm the one who is supposed to be manning our merch table, I can't let this opportunity pass through my fingers...so I approach the bombshell in the back of the room. Her eyes trail my every move, watching me make my way to her slowly.
"Hi," I say simply.
"Hi," she replies, her eyes looking straight through me. Are they brown or are they green? I'm lost in her stare.
"Your band was great," she says breaking the awkward moment.
"Thanks." I rub my hand over my sweaty hair. "What's your name?"
"Tiffany," she says, tossing her brown hair over her shoulder.
"I'm Braxton." I reach out my hand to shake hers. "You here with anyone?" I ask casually, glancing around for any angry looking males.
She smiles mischievously. "My husband is in Glass Houses."
My mouth drops open in surprise. "Really? He's one lucky guy. If you don't mind me asking, who is it?"
She steps closer to me just as A Night to Remember takes the stage, bringing her lips close to my ear, sending chills down my spine. "Aiden."
I nod in understanding. "Aiden is a good guy, and if he snagged you off the market, then he must be doing something right." I am about to walk away, defeated, when she kisses me suddenly, sending my heart into overdrive. "What the fuck are you doing?" I growl, pulling away.
"Oh, it's okay, Aiden won't mind," Tiffany says, throwing her arms around my neck and kissing it softly.
"The fuck he won't!" I pry her arms away from my neck, my eyes bulging from my head, looking for any sign of Aiden. He's going to slaughter me.
"Oh, come on," she says, still trying. "We have an open relationship. Do I really have to spell it out for you?"
"So what, you fuck other people but still go home to each other at the end of the night?" I say, deducing exactly what the hell she has going on with Aiden.
"Precisely," she says, nodding.
"Fuck no," I growl. "I'm not into that weird shit."
She lets go of me, still smiling. "That's fine. Maybe you're not into it today...but you will be. They all come around."
"Okay, now you just sound like a slut. I'll see ya around," I say sliding past her.
Aiden has some weird shit going on at home and I don't want to get mixed up in it.
