Chapter 1
"Mom please don't make me do this"
"I'm sorry, but you are going to school. You have to start fresh,make some friends,I don't know.But you are gonna to walk into those hallways."
"Why would I want to be in a place where I can't be who I am?'
"Violet, I don't want the same inccident to happen again."
"So, I have to change my name!'
"Yes! Discussion over. I'll pick you up at 3 o'clock."
"I would rather burn in hell."
"Okay. So I guess your walking."
"I HATE YOU!"
"I love you too. And don't forget your name.
"Of course. How can I forget that I'm now Katie Holmes."
Katie slams the car door and walks into the high school building.The narrow halls are full of students.While Katie walks down the hallway her books drop on the floor.Mason,the most popular kid in school,helps Katie pick up her books.
"I'll help you."
"Thanks,but I don't need your help."
"If you wanna survive these hallways I think you do.What's your name?"
"I'm Katie."
"I'm guessing your new here."
"You haven't seen me before so yes I am."
"Someone has an attitude."
"You don't understand."
"I wanna know your story.Meet me outside by the trees at lunch."
"Or maybe, this is the part where I walk away and pretend we never had this conversation."
Katie walks hurriedly to her first class. Mason stands in the hallway staring at Katie as she walks into her first class.
"Your late Ms.Holmes."
"Sorry about that I dropped my books in the hallways."
"Please take a seat."
Katie walks to a desk next to the windows.She stares outside.She waits for the bell to finally ring.The bell rings and all the students hurry out the door.As soon as Katie opened her locker she saw a note that said,"I won't leave you alone.I'll be waiting. -Mason" There was a little smile on her face,but that smile quickly faded away.What happened to Katie in the past? What is she hiding?
