Chapter 1: Skylar

I don't understand why we had to move here, mom said its because of dads job and the fact that he didn't come with us makes me worry even more. I adore my father, Darrin Nicolas Marshall, he is a big shot in the state of Texas its even better that I his only child and daughter is going to Carnage Melon like he did when he was in college I'm pretty damn sure he's happy about that but Enough abut me let's just tell this story!!!!

"Skylar. Honey I need you to help me unpack the living room."

"Okay mom!!" I yell from my new room. This house isn't bad at all I actually love it. I walk into the main room and see my mother, Marielle Ashland Marshall on the floor looking through a box of frames. I sit beside her and smile at the one of me and dad on my first trip to his old college, that's when I decided to go to Carnage.

"Hey mom?"

"Huh? What honey?"

"Can I put that in my room?"

"Sure here." She hands me to frame I look at it and smile again. I set it down and grab the box of frames from my mother.

"Mom I'm going to put all theses photos on the mantle."

"Honey I really love that your helping me but just go back to your room and finish unpacking."

"Oh. Okay.." I walk up the stairs to my room and sit on my new bed. I pull out my phone I go down to 'Dad' and tap on his name. I put my phone to my ear.

"Darcy Williams, How is your day today and who may I direct you to?"

"Hey Darc, it's me can you transfer me to dad?"

"Sure thing Sky." I hear the waiting tone then someone picking up the phone.

"Darrin Marshall's office." I hear my dad breath.

"Hey dad." I reply.

"Oh shit, Skylar hey honey!!"

"OW FUCK DARRIN THAT HURT!!!" I hear a voice squeak.

"Dad who was that?"

"Oh it was just Zoeé she dropped my coffee."

"Hey Skylar!" I hear Zoeé say.

"Tell her I said hi." I take a deep breath. "Dad, when are you coming to Taylor?"

"Your at Taylor's? Your mother never told me to pick you up from there..?"

"No dad, I'm in Taylor, Michigan you know the place we moved to for your promotion?"

"Honey I didn't get the promotion. They gave it to Alex. Why are you in Michigan? Wait... Oh shit. Your mom... Honey, your mother and i , were getting a divorce..."

"WHAT!!! Why!? And don't you fucking DARE tell me 'We just didn't love each other anymore.' I'm not that fucking stupid.'

"Watch your mouth young lady!" he growls "Your mom and I well Sweetie I cheated on your mom."

"Oh yeah that's right dad, remember last week when I walking into your office to see if I could go to Baylie's?"

"Yes?"

"Before I walked in I seen Carla Jacking you."

"Fuck, well I gotta go, bye sweetie." I hangup and throw my phone on my bed and scream. My phone rings I look at the I.d and its Taylor.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Sky, you wanna come over?"

"I would love to but, I can't I'm in Michigan." I say fast like.

"What?! Why?"

"I moved."

"What?! Why! When?"

"We just got here. I thought it was for dads job but come to find out he and mom are splitting."

"Ohh that sucks!" she says. Her voice sounds strained.

"Taylor, what's wrong?"

"Nothing Sky I'm just tired."

"Alright well I'll let you go.."

"Okay bye Sky." I hang up and go to the big box beside my bed. I open it and see that is my bed set. I pull it all out and set it up on my bed. I look around my room and see a box I go over to it and open it. before I open it I realise its all my sisters stuff she left me. I take out the photo frame of me and here when we went to California.  I hug the frame to my chest and stand up and grab the box with all the stuff in it and I put The frame on my bed side table. I lay the box on my bed and pull out my sisters cell phone. I unlock it. I see she had three texts that were unread.

Tyla, your better than this. Don't do it.

Tyla!!! Answer me please!!!!

Oh my god...

I realise these were the texts before my sister, Tyla ODed.

I feel a tear roll down my cheek and put the phone in my pocket and go to my mom.

"Hey mom I was looking in a box and found Tyla's phone can we transfer all my stuff to it and turn it on?"

"Sure hand it to me and I'll work on it." I hand the phone over. I go to the kitchen island I sit on the bar stool and lay my head on the table.

"I know about you and dad.! I blurt out. I throw my head up and slam my hand over my mouth.

"What?" my mom turns around and had a look on her face.

"Dad told me about him cheating on you, mom I know your hurting from Tyla but its been a 2 months.."

"Skylar, please don't." I groan and lay my head down.

"Sky honey, you fell asleep the phones on." I set up and take the phone from moms hand and smile. I hear a knock and then Cola starts barking. I get up and go down the hallway I open the door.

"Yes?" I look up and see a tall brown haired bright green eyes

"Hi I'm, Xander. I live across the yard."

"Hi I'm Skylar."
