Five.

I've probably sat in 5 meetings back to back. I was growing frustrated and hungry I kept checking the time waiting for this infuriating meeting to end. I didn't know how William sat in these meetings and listened attentively. I actually wanted nothing to do with my parents company not because I didn't know anything about it but I didn't have the slightest interest it never excited me.

The meeting finally ended and I really wanted to get the heck out of here. "Can we leave now? I'm actually starving and I'd hate for you meet me when I'm hangry" I coaxed William who was busy having a chat with someone.

He gave a dry laugh pulling himself away from the conversation.

"You really couldn't wait huh?" He asks frustratedly yanking his car door open and hopping in.

"No I'm hungry I almost fell asleep during those fucking meetings" I argued.

I put the directions into the navigation system to a near by restaurant Annette recommended to me. He pulled off and stayed silent the entire car ride. There was a little bit of traffic to the restaurant but that was nothing.

William managed to find a spot on the opposite side to where the restaurant was. It was a small Italian restaurant that was packed to the max.

We didn't stick the waitress ushered us to a little boot and handing us the menu.

"What would you like to have?" she ask politely giving up a small smile.

My eyes scanned the menu and I really couldn't choose but there was one option that caught my eye.

"I'll have a skinny margarita and chef's
Choice option" I say handing her back the menu. William chooses to do the same but  instead he just chooses to get iced tea.

"It's to early in the day to be drink Savannah" he remarked raising an eyebrow at me, I rolled my eyes and smirked "it's happy hour some where in the world" I responded pulling out my phone to distract myself.

After 10 minutes the waitress was back with our drinks and I let out a sigh of relief. The silence between William and I was deafening. "Mhm exactly what I need" I moaned taking a sip of the drink.

There wasn't much to talk about between William and I we were into two different completely things and something wasn't the conversation worthy. The only thing we had in common is that we both liked women.

"How's Maddison?" I asked breaking the silence, his mood immediately lightened at the mention of her name.

"I miss her terribly honestly" he admits as he nervously itches the back of his neck. "Well I don't have to ask when she's visiting do I " I teased raising an eyebrow "Ah she's a bit hesitant to come so it's going to take a bit of convincing" he say.

After a bit more small talk , the chef came over with our meal and I was positively stunned.

"Fancy seeing you here"

I looked up greeted a familiar face "Hayden Hi" I say quietly she smirked laying both the dishes in front of us.

"Should of let me know you were coming with your husband I would prepare something special for you" she remarks and my eye nearly bulged out my head. Hearing the word husband come out her mouth makes my stomach churn.

"He's not my husband he's a friend" I responded quickly. She chuckles "the ring on your finger says otherwise".

I nervously chuckle and cover my hand slipping the ring off my finger. "Enjoy your meal I'll be back to check on you when you're finished" she says and walks off attending to another table.
