You listened to the rumbling sound the carriage made as it made its way through the cobblestone road, heading towards Ciel Phantomhive's estate. You had "befriended" the innocent, naive Elizabeth Midford and after countless weeks of nonstop chatter, constant annoyance, fake smiles, and an ungodly amount of dresses, she finally took you to see the young lord.
"This is Ciel's manor, dear."
'Dear, she stills insists on calling that? Hah! I'm far from that! Aristocrats are so carefree and foolish... How stupid of them. They wouldn't recognize an assassin even if they stabbed them right in the back.' Moving away from your bitter thoughts, you looked outside the windows and was amazed by the vast size of the grounds. 'How much money does this brat even have?' You look back at Elizabeth and she smiled at you. The carriage came to a stop and a handsome man with striking red eyes came up to open it. 'This must be the so-called perfect butler, I presume?'
"It's a pleasure to see you, Lady Elizabeth." He bowed and took Elizabeth's hand, helping her get down.
"Thank you, Sebastian! Ciel, Ciel, Ciel~!"
'Of course, she would immediately call for Ciel. Sebastian, huh? He's a tricky one from what I've heard. I'll need to get rid of him carefully...but how to do it?'
"We've been expecting you, Miss." Sebastian stuck his hand out, waiting for you to take it. You did so and walked out the carriage, making sure to have a benevolent smile on your face as not to raise suspicion.
"Dear, this is Ciel, Earl Phantomhive."
Your eyes landed on a young boy with an eyepatch looking exasperated as if he was unwillingly a part of Elizabeth's shenanigans. 'The rumors were true. He really is just a little kid and he really does wear an eyepatch.'
"Ciel, this is the friend I wrote you about in my letter. I met her at a ball last month but I liked her straight away! She knows ever so many things. I wanted to introduce her to you so much, I brought her along!"
It was true that you did meet a month ago at a ball and you were slightly surprised that she was so trustful of you within the first minutes of meeting you. Then, a few weeks later, you were one step closer to completing your latest job.
'Stay calm and act natural.' You took a deep breath and strode into the public hall with your sights set on 'befriending' Elizabeth Midford, Lady of Midford and fiancé of Ciel Phantomhive, your next target. You had a whole plan set but your job was made easier when she made her way to you.
"I just absolutely adore your !"
"Why, thank you. It's an honor for a dress I handmade be complemented by someone from such a prominent family as you."
"You made this yourself? It is absolutely beautiful! Perhaps you can make my next dress?"
"I don't deserve such praise. After all, I am more skilled at playing the piano."
"Really?"
As you continued to show off your set of skills (which you really did have), Elizabeth became more and more enchanted and it wasn't long before she placed her trust in you, just according to plan. You endured through her unrelenting cheerfulness and her unexpected antics, for it wasn't in vain because here you were standing in front of Ciel Phantomhive.
"What am I to do with you?" He walked forward and addressed you. "I'm Ciel Phantomhive, head of the House of Phantomhive. I hope you'll enjoy tonight's ball. Sebastian, see that she's offered the utmost hospitality."
