Cassie POV

The conference meeting went well. Everybody was satisfied with the agreements & plans. I had told Jackie that I was gonna stay a little longer to get some of paperwork sorted out, since most of the documents needed to go up to the top floor. I never understood why the "Head Man in Charge" had his assistants' working five floors below him, if he knew he needed help with things like; important documents & paperwork to sign but I didn't question it. I was happy with my job & Thank GOD for elevators cause I would seriously quit if I had to walk up five flights of stairs in five inch heels!

I was stacking, stapling, & filing away not even paying attention to the time. I had no clue that it was just after 7. I had promised my mom that I would be over to her house to check on her since dad was out of town for the weekend, so I decided to wrap up & give her a call once I was reached the elevator.

As I closed & locked the conference room door I checked to make sure I had everything I needed. Being forgetful of things sometimes got the best of me, so I had to check twice sometimes or even a third time to make sure that I had had everything I needed.

Pushing the down button for the elevator, I pulled out my iPhone & called my mom. It went right to voicemail, so I left a message saying that I was on the way over & to call me back if she needed anything. Once I hung up the call, the elevator arrived on my floor & stepping in to my surprise, I wasn't in the elevator alone. There also was a man in the elevator. He was dressed in his business attire; suit, tie & everything, but I just had a quick glance at him before turning to face the elevator door.

It sounded like someone was arguing with him over the phone & I could tell in his voice that he was getting frustrated & on the verge of snapping off. "Olivia I have to go" he said frustrated. He really sounds pissed off, I thought to myself. Whoever "Olivia"  was was just about to feel his wrath, but then I heard a faint chuckle & thought, OK, maybe it wasn't as bad as it sounded. Shaking my head to myself, I pulled out my iPhone, checking to see if my mom had called. No luck! I didn't even have a signal in the elevator.

Sighing I thought, " I guess I'll check again once I get off the elevator" & then I felt the elevator stop abruptly. "What the hell?", I thought. "Damn!", cursed the man behind me.

"Does it do this all the time?", I asked as I turned around to look at the man. "Every so often it happens. It was supposed to have been fixed by now", he said as he looked at me.

I opened my mouth to respond but couldn't say anything, not a word. The man in front of me had my attention. It was one thing to be caught in an elevator alone but to be caught in an elevator with a sexy hot man in a business suit is another. He was dressed very nice in his black suit, & I loved the suit & tie look on any man but this one before me looked like he needed to be on the cover of an "Esquire" magazine.

His hair was brown & in a textured high fade, evergreen eyes, & surrounding a beard were set of full pink luscious lips & when he spoke his voice drew me in.

"- it'll be about 20 minutes until it starts moving again". I was lost as I stared into his eyes until I heard him clear his throat, pulling me from my trance, & asked, "Miss? Are you OK? Did you hear what I said?"

Uhm I'm sorry, I said shaking my head, forcing away the dirty thoughts I had in my mind, what were you saying?"

He chuckled, smiling at me showing off his deep dimples, & said, "I was saying that I hope that you don't have to be anywhere that's important because it'll be about 20 minutes until the elevator starts moving again."
