this is my lockscreen
mesut ozil. arsenal player. german nt.
it's funny, you know, because every guy thinks he's ugly, so when i say he's my favorite player, no one is questioning if i like it because he's cute...
but, let's imagine this cuteness is my favorite player + it's my lockscreen:
antoine griezmann. atlético de madrid player. french nt.
people is at the edge of death, thinking he's my fave because he's handsome as hell.
let's be direct: if you, for any reason, watch victoria secret's shows every year. let's say you like lingerie so you watch it. do not tell me you won't find any of them cute or beautiful. do not lie. girls there are super wonderful and i wouldn't blame you if you like any of them, or if you set a picture of any model as your lockscreen. but if we turn to look at my situation, you think is wrong and you think im not a 'true fan'?
what's is being a true fan anyway? drinking beer whilst you watch every match with your friends? or screaming at the tv? or criticizing the referee? or playing it every weekend? every person enjoys football as they would like to do it. boys or girls.
my situation: i learned to have 0 issues when it's about neymar. i always say i find him really hot and handsome. some boys start saying 'that's the reason you're culé (barça fan)'... and i just laugh. i let them think what they want to think. im culé because of the club, because all the legends that have been there, the way they always play, pep team, and because of the whole history. i don't have to explain anything to anybody.
this part is where im going to use your experience in the specific chapter/part. in this case, for example, im using the experience of a friend. you can always send some of your experience as a football 'fangirl' and i can use them in another part/chapter
situation i: i have a friend called nerea, whose best friend is always asking her why does she like borussia dortmund. she always answer "because i like the players" and her bf usually replies "so you like it because the players are cute", her answer is always "no, because they have chemistry when they play". his answer? "then when those players leave bvb, you're not liking the team anymore? or when they lost that famous chemistry?". what did she do after all that shitty comments? she replied "maybe, i don't know. i can't answer you that because it hasn't happened. let's wait until it happen and i will know". this answer is great, because you keep your explanation to yourself, there's no need to explain.
if you like any team because they players are good, it's ok. we like clubs and teams for different reasons. some guys hate barcelona, for example, because they don't like messi. others hate real madrid, because of cristiano. others hate bayern because they 'steal' all bvb players. it's ON YOU. you have your reasons and you don't owe any explanations.
