I can't believe my mom came. "Mr.Giannini are you having problems in math?" Mrs.Oakley said. "It's Giannini Feriano Luciaducci" I said. I was trying to give her a hard time. Mom sucked her teeth. "I'm sorry. Mr.Giannini are you having problems in math?" Mrs.Oakley corrected. I was gonna say no bit I remembered I was suppose to be the smarter one. "Actually. yes. Yes I am having problems in math class." I said. "Okay. Have you tried studying?" Mrs.Oakley asked. I laughed. She's stupid. I thought. "Notice I said Math class. " I looked at her like she has autism or something. Mom hit me softly. "Okay then. What problems are you having?" Mrs.Oakley asked. She didn't seem intimidated like my other teachers.
"Let's see..........My teacher is an asshole, my last name is all over an ugly girl's binder, the athletes call me gay. and I'm a writer. Bam." I said "Watch your mouth!" Mom said. Mrs.Oakley raises an eyebrow. I raised one back. "It's those stupid stories you write!" Mom said shaking her head. "You think you live in a fantasy world! Have you ever thought about sports? what about base-" "MOM! I told you I hate sports." I yelled. "Wait, you're going through puberty. How are you a boy without sp-"
"I TOLD you,it's NOT puberty! I HATE sports. Always have Always will. That's just the way it is." I said God she bugs me. "Why don't you join the creative writing club?" Mrs.Oakley said in a calm voice. "NO! No son of mine willk be in a group so gay. He'll be the only boy! And if there are other boys they're gay." Mom objected. "They would not be gay! Are you calling me gay?" I said. She was getting on my last nerve. "Mr. and Mrs. Giannini maybe you, Luciano could try some calm activities such as chess club." said Mrs.Oakley. "She, is NOT a Giannini Feriano Luciaducci. I see why my dad didn't want to marry her." I said folding my arms. "Excuse me, I am your mother! And chess club is for geeks. My son is NOT a geek and never will be. He will be an athlete just like his older brother Tevin." My mother said. "Well....um, are you interested in being an athlete?" Mrs.Oakley asked. Am I invisible? Did I die? They must not've heard loud enough or correctly I thought. So I said it louder and clearer like I was talking to mentally ill people which I thought I was. "I" I said pointing to myself. "Do not want to be an ath-lete . I told you." I said pointing to them. Mom slapped me. "what?" I said. "Where'd you get all this disrespect from? It's your dad. You're taking after him. God help me please!" said mom. "Well Mrs.Gia-" "Jones" I corrected Mrs.Oakley. She eyed me. "What? I told you she's not a Giannini." I said. "Miss jones," Mrs.Oakley emphasized the Jones. "I don't think Luciano's interested in sports." She said. "He likes baseball." Mom said. "I'm done" I said walking out.
