Pink Flower

School

5 minutes away from second period ending
Jenna looks down at her phone with a smile.

On her phone is a drawing of her with the caption "My beautiful girlfriend!"

"I have the best boyfriend!...He even got me a pretty pink flower yesterday for our one year anniversary!" She says to her best friend

"Ew the cuteness makes me want to vomit" Casey says laughing

"Hey don't be jealous... Just because you've been single for the past two years!" (Jenna)

"Hey I'm waiting until college ok! High school boys are stupid" (Casey)

"And you think college boys are any different?!" (Jenna)

*Bell rings*

"See you at lunch ok!" (Casey)

"Ok we'll meet up at the same spot as always."

(There are ten minutes in between every bell so the student can gather their things and head to their next class.)

Jenna walks out of class and goes straight to the bathroom. In the bathroom she fixes her hair and make-up.

*Tardy bell rings*

Following the tardy bell the speakers turn on
"Student attention this is not a drill. We are on lockdown there is an intruder on campus. I repeat this is not a drill. Teachers please follow protocol!" Principle Tucker

Jenna quickly puts all her things back into her back pack and makes her way into the hallways to find the nearest classroom. As she's running she is caught by an individual three times her size in all black at first she thought it was a police officer until he points a gun at her.

She quickly takes the gun away mentally thanking for father for teaching her self defense and points it at the intruder and yells "Get down!"

He doesn't cooperate and takes a knife out of his pocket. He tackles her to the ground and stabs her leg. In so much pain she shoots the gun not knowing where she aimed. As she opens her eyes she realizes the man is not on top of her anymore but laying next to her over a puddle of blood.

"I killed him" she says to herself

She slides back until she is stopped by a wall. She hugs her unwounded leg with her arms and starts to rock back and forth crying repeating the same thing over and over again "I killed him"

A few moments later a police comes running.
He sees the intruder on the floor and checks for a pulse. Then he turns around and sees Jenna.

"Ma'am are you ok?" Says Officer Ranger

"No my leg" she responds

Using the walkie talkie he orders two police to come.

"What's your name?" He says

"My names is Jenna Wright"

Officer Ranger picks Jenna up and takes her to the closest classroom

"Well Jenna you did a brave thing back there you know?"  (Officer Ranger)

"I'm going to die aren't I?" (Jenna)

*No response*

He kicks the doors open and sets her on a table

Two other police officers come and guard the door. The students hiding in the classroom are now all standing around Jenna startled.

"I need something to wrap around her leg quick!" yells Officer Ranger

Among the people surrounding her is Casey.

"Jenna please stay awake!!" says Casey crying

"Keep talking to her she's loosing too much blood!" (Officer Ranger)

"What happened to you Jenna?!" (Casey)

"I was trying to get to the nearest class room when I bumped into the intruder. He pointed a gun at me and and I took it away. He tackled me and and stabbed me so I shot the gun and....."

In her mind over and over she sees the man laying there in a puddle of blood. On a loop she is reminded of what she had done...

"And what?!" Says Casey

"I killed him" she responds

As the seconds went past Jenna was growing weaker and weaker. She kept loosing blood and no one could doing anything to help.

"I need to call Jack!" (Casey)

"Who the hell is Jack?!" Says Officer Ranger as he's calling the ambulance

"He's her boyfriend! He needs to know whats happening right now!" (Casey)

The second Jack heard the news he runs into the class room pushing people out of the way to get to Jenna.

"Jenna baby please stay with me!" (Jack)

Jenna grabs Jacks shirt and pulls his lips on hers

"I love you Jenna please stay with me" (Jack)

"I love you..." She says

All of a sudden all her pain went away.

She was finally free...
