Alex heads down a rocky road and begins to contemplate dropping out of Montell High.

"Hey... You maybe want to hang out sometime?" asked Leila.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'd like that," said Alex. After Leila walked away, Alex smiled to himself. Even though Matt was gone, he still had a lot to look forward to. He still had a lot of friends. This was going to be a good year after all. Out of nowhere, Henry walked up and kissed Alex on the lips.
"Whoa, what the...?" Alex started.
"Just proving to myself that I'm not what everyone thinks I am," said Henry.
"And that is...?" asked Alex.
"A predictable lost cause," said Henry.
"Well, they got one thing right... You are a lost cause. You can't go around just kissing people who don't have feelings for you anymore," said Alex, walking away. Henry was stunned. No one wanted him. No one but Ricky.
"Screw you, Alex," Henry muttered under his breath. He didn't need him. He didn't need any of the losers at this school. As long as he had Ricky, he'd be fine.
