Gretchin held a folded piece of paper in her hand, and tried to, as discreetly as possible, put it through a slot in Clayton's locker door. When she looked around to see if anyone had seen her, she caught a glimpse of Clayton and Edward through the glass of a corridor door; they surprised her so much with their presences, that she literally jumped backwards in to the lockers on the other side of the corridor, making a loud bang, she tried to act as if nothing had happened, smoothing her hair and leaned nonchalantly against the lockers she had just oh-so awesomely (not) banged into. Somehow, neither Clayton nor Edward noticed her or the loud noise she had just created, but instead where in deep conversation about something.
Maybe he's talking about Vanessa, the girl of his dreams... God I hate her. She is such a bit- she froze, taken aback. She never had thoughts or feelings like that, or at least not with that much spite and intensity.
She pretended to fiddle with the lock on a locker nearby, eaves dropping in on Clayton and Edward's conversation. They weren't talking about Vanessa, but something much more surprising: "Do you remember seeing anyone with greeny-blue eyes? They were, like, really bright." It had been Clayton talking, and he made a long sigh. "They were beautiful."
"Bloody hell, man. You don't even know who it is, yet you're swooning over them like a little princess would her prince. Ha ha ha!" It sounded like Clayton had pushed over Edward, as there was scuffling noises and a yelp from Edward.
"Seriously, dude, we only made eye contact for, what, a second? But they were the most gorgeous eyes I had ever seen in my life... I don't know who it was though 'cause the bell went before I could see who it was."
"Aren't my eyes beautiful, Clayton?" Edward taunted Clayton, but Gretchin had zoned out and gone to Heaven; he was talking about her! He had caught her staring at him accidentally, while she was day dreaming about him, and then the bell had gone for lunch straight after.

"Aren't my eyes beautiful, Clayton? Would you swoon over my eyes if you saw them for one second and didn't know they were mine?" Edward joked, batting his eyelids like a retard.
"Oh, shut up." Clayton laughed.
He opened his locker, and a piece of paper floated to the floor. He'd never seen it before, and it had his name printed on it, written in a curved font, so he opened it up to find a short message:
I loved your poem yesterday in English! It was so creative, and beautifully written.
I hope one day, you'll be reading it out to me.
Gretchin xxx
He didn't know anyone called Gretchin, and felt bad for her. She clearly liked him, but he didn't know who she was, never mind feel the same way about her. Well, it was either that, or someone's playing a joke on him, continuing to taking the piss out of him from yesterday.
"Hey, Edward, do you know who Gretchin is? I've never heard or anyone called Gretchin before."
Before he could answer, Clayton saw a girl facing him at the opposite side of the corridor. Wanting to see who it was, he turned and felt a sense of deja vu. A pair of vivid green-blue eyes were looking at him, and he felt a strange draw towards them, but right before he gave into the pull, the girls eyes began to water up, and she turned on her heels and ran down the corridor, through the set of double doors he and Edward had just gone through.
"I don't know anyone called Gretchin, but I bet you ten quid that was her." Edward said after the girl had run out of sight, he had plucked the note out of Clayton's grip and trying not to laugh at how ridiculous he thought the note was.
