Chapter 4: Trauma

Ricky Myller's POV

"Just how exactly did Ringer disappeared?" I asked Sam and Mike but none of them speak up. I stood up from my seat and dialed Ringer's older sister's number. "Want me to call her sister?" I held my phone in front of their faces. They looked at each other before shaking their heads no. I went back on sitting and asked the question again, "How did she disappeared?"

"We were practicing at that time and we decided to take a break, I went away to buy some drinks but she suddenly screamed so I came back and.. Saw nothing but her bat." Sam FINALLY answered.

"Have you seen any traces of blood at the field?"

He shook his head.

And it hit me...

'I want her dead.'

"Jackson you jerk!"

"Who's that?" Mike asked. "I may not be sure but I know he has something to do with Ringer. I know he's the suspect." I dialed my other friends' numbers on my phone.

"What are you doing?" They both asked.

"Calling the others.."

We went back at the house with Sam. We were just waiting for the others.

"You sure about this?" Mike looked at me anxiously. Of course he will, I mean, what kind of nerd would go and hang out in a squad where are full of weirdos?

Suddenly, somebody knocked on the door. They're here at last! I opened the door and they jolted inside. "Long time no see!" I greeted them.

"How was the new school, bro?" Cap Patterson, my bestfriend back at my old school before we transferred.

"Haven't change, have you?" Violet Yamazaki, the wisest of the gang who has purple hair streaks.

"School became boring without you though.." Jenny Benett a.k.a. Zombie, my rival at my old school. Here's the conclusion, I don't go well with girls that's why I became a rival to Ringer.

"Cassy? Come on in!" Cap commanded the girl from outside the door. Cassy, shortcut for Cassiopeia Neggers. She was my girlfriend but when my family decided to transfer me and Mike to another school, rumors about me having a crush on Ringer and that was not just a rumor, I kinda feel I do like Ringer. Because of that, our LDR became cold.

"I'm sorry, Cassy.." I mumbled.

"I heard that."

Damn it! She has such sensitive ears.

Skye Yevgenyi's POV

I wish I didn't do it. I wish I'd obeyed them. What was wrong with me at that time?

Flashback

"Let's go in there!" My younger brother pointed at the woods where Mom and Dad never allowed us to go through. "But, Danny.. Dad will get mad at us when we go there." I said while pulling Danny back.

"They won't get mad when they don't know about it. Please, Skye!" Danny begged but I still won't allow him.

He pouted and crossed his arms, "I hate you." Those three words hit my heart, just like three bullets that shoot me. Dave just broke up with me because he hates me, after that, I don't want to be hated anymore.

"Fine," I sighed in defeat, "We can go."

"Alright!"

"But only for a short time, got it?"

"Okay, okay! Can we go now?" Danny grabbed my arm while walking into the woods. When went closer and closer, I notice that this place is beautiful. I closed my eyes. Its so peaceful in here, so peaceful that I could---

"Skye!"

I stopped.

"Skye, help me!"

And turned around.

"Please, help me!"

Only to see my brother being eaten by a huge dog. My knees became numb, my eyes blurred, my breathe is shaking, my hands were too and so was my legs. Suddenly, I don't know what to do.

Tears of mine began to trail down my cheeks. "Danny.." I whispered to myself.

"Who are you?" Then, a soldier appeared with a pistol on his hand, "No trespassing!". He pointed the pistol on me and pulled the trigger. I quickly went down on my knees and he missed. The soldier tried to pull the trigger but no bullets would go out, I used this chance to escape from him. I ran as fast as I can, I was almost out of the woods when he shoot at me.

Luckily, it only hit my leg. I fell to the ground but my determination of wanting to live a longer life made me to stand and continue running. My parents were out of the house running to me. I cried as I saw them towards me.

"Skye!"

"Mom, dad! I'm sorry!"

"Wake up..!"

"I'm so sorry..!"

End Of Flashback

"Skye, wake up will you?!" Jackson shook me from my nightmare. I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling. It was so hot in the bed, I'm sweating!

"S-sorry.." I said as I got up and sat down on the bed. I covered my eyes while tears started to fall out. I heard Jackson sighed, I wiped out my tears with the blankets and faced him. "Are you okay?" he asked me.

I was quite surprised when he did. A while ago, he was trying to kill me and now, he's trying to comfort me?! What the heck is wrong with this guy? I stayed quite for the moment and let the atmosphere become awkward for him.

"I'm sorry.." Jackson mumbled.

After, I published this part, I'm going to school for the 4th Quarter exam.

I don't study but I never failed.
