My name is Phoenix Mackenzie and I am sixteen years old, I have short blonde hair and blue eyes. I am the nephew of Professor Cameron Lancaster, the academy headmaster. I am also good friends with Annie, I will be taking over this story because she is unconscious at the moment and will be on it until she is fit to continue. Currently, I am in the infirmary with Annie, I am the only one in here from the group because the nurse would only allow one of us in a being the nephew of the academy headmaster, I am better at finding out information.
"Nurse, how is she?" I asked the school nurse
"She will be fine, Mr Mackenzie," said the kind-hearted nurse
"She needs to relax, she has used a lot of energy using her powers, Nick," said Uncle Cameron, who was also in the room, "can you tell your friends, please?"
"Sure," I said and left
I headed to my room, where I knew Matt and Tom would be waiting for the news on her condition but when I was surprised to see, not only them but also Cassie, Anya and Professor Blake, and then I got the shock of my life, in the room was Prue.
"So how is she?" asked Prue
"She is fine, she used up too much energy using her powers," I explained and then turned to Professor Blake and asked, "Why are you here, Professor? I would have though Professor Lancaster would have told you the news,"
"Normally he would have but I have not seen him yet, Nick," said Blake
"He was with Annie in the Nurses Room," I said
"Oh," said Blake
"I guess she will resting for a while considering we used her powers, a lot today," said Blake
"And why are you here, Prue," I asked, "I did not think you like, Annie"
"I respect her," said Prue "No-one has ever stood up to me before"
This surprised me, I never knew Prue could be like that I smiled and nodded at her. Professor Blake looked at his watch suddenly.
"Cassie, Anya, Prue, we need to leave, it is almost bedtime," said Blake as the girls nodded "Night Boys"
"Night," said Matt and they left
I sat on my bed, thinking of Annie, the first day of school had been chaotic for her, she had found out she had powers, used them for a long period of time, now forced to sleep in the infirmary and relax. I saw Matt and Tom getting into their pyjamas and knew I had to get into mine too but for some reason, I could not.
"Nick, are you alright," asked Tom
"Yeah, Tom," I said "Just worried about Annie"
"I know, me too," said Matt
"Why not you go and see her?" said Matt
"Matt, it is past curfew," said Tom
"You are forgetting something, Tom, Nick is the nephew of the academy headmaster," said Matt "I am sure his uncle will not say anything if he is caught"
I thought about it, thought about whether uncle would say anything I was caught out after curfew then I realised they were wrong, I would be in just as much trouble if I was caught but I did not care, if I was in trouble I had to check if Annie was safe and sound.
"Guys, I will see you in a bit," I said suddenly
"Where you going, Nick," said Tom
"To see Annie," I said
