It's Just a Dream

Alissa's POV

-I was running so fast and I had no idea what I was running from. The woods were dark and everything was a blur. I felt something running down my knee and was startled to find a red substance at my fingertips. While not paying attention I tripped over a tree stump. I fell in a mud puddle and flenched at the sting it gave my already opened wound. What happened next startled me "Alissa" a creepy voice called my name. I attempted to standup while holding my knee but someone else had other ideas. I was pushed down by someone else that I would think would be the last person to do so. "Why Erin?" I asked feeling equally hurt and confused. She held up a knife and a tear dropped down her face "I'm sorry" she said while shaking her head and she raised the knife to my back. She plunged it in my back and I felt a horrible pain.-

I woke up catching my breath and holding my chest, my heart beating 1,000 miles per hour. When I finally caught my breath I sat up in my bed. I glanced around looking for Erin and then remembered she had left with Liam last night. A small amount of sunlight peaked though my curtains which was blinding me even though it wasn't bright. My thoughts were interrupted by my stomach growling.I slipped out of my blanket and headed to the kitchen. I slowly opened my door, careful not to make sound not wanting to wake anyone. However, I smelled breakfast and didn't hesitate to speed the pace of my walking.

I saw the back of Dad's head and suddenly felt my mood change for the better. "Mornin' Lissa" he said without turning around. I don't know how he does it but he always senses anyone's presence. For some reason he's always paranoid since the incident. My mother was murdered by my dad's best friend because they were having an affair and he went balistic when she tried to break it off. My dad really trusted him with his life, and he betrayed him. My mom has three girls Erin,Kendall, and I, and we were the closest to eachother than anyone else. Mom was like one of our bestfriends we painted eachother's nails,brushed eachothers hair,and read Teen Vouge together. We all love Law and Order so we have any DVD ever made. We all miss her so much, it's like losing sister.

"Mornin' Lissa" he repeated this time turning around with a worried expression on his face. "Oh Morning Dad" I said sitting up from the wall I was slouched on realising I had been staring at him the whole time. "You Okay?" he said scooping eggs onto a plate. "Yeah, just thinking" I say while walking closer to help set the table. "Okay, you had me worried for a second." he said in between chuckles. "You need so me help " I say quickly changing the subject. "Sure, you can take the toast out and st it on the table." he said not looking up from the task he was doing. Kendall and Erin came downstairs after the table was set. When breakfast was over I went to brush me teeth and then pulled my hair back to wash my face. Next, I dried my face and picked my outfit: my favorite Bring Me The Horizon tee shirt with white skinny jeans and my red doc martens. I took a look and was satisfied except with my hair. I threw it up in a messy bun and grabbed my backpack and keys. "First day of school" I sighed to myself. I opened my door and walked into Kendall's room. She was putting on mascara because that's the only kind of makeup dad allows her to wear. She just got to 9th grade today and she convinced dad that she's old enough. "Time to go Kendall." I say. She puts the brush back in the bottle and nods at her appearance. "Okay ready , I'm so nervous I mean what if I don't make any friends, what if I get lost, what if-----." She's cut off by Erin walking in the door, actully more like barging in. "OMG, my little sister is going to high school!" Erin exclaimed while pinching Kendall's cheeks. "Stop it." Kendall said but her words were muffled. "I'm sorry to interrupt but we have to go." I say looking at the time on my phone. "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you I'm getting a ride from Liam." Erin said matter of factly. "Okay, see you there." Kendall and I say in unison. Kendall giggles but I'm still thinking of Liam. Erin hasn't always lived with us,she was in boarding school last year and came back this summer. During the summer her and Liam started to date. But he was my boyfriend when she was in boarding school. I told Erin it was no big deal, that we were completly over. She looked sceptical at first, but then it sunk in that it was true. But he was my 1st love, eventhough it's over.

Kendall snapped her finger in my face and waved her hands around."Did you hear me, I said we're going to be late." she said looking annoyed. I looked at the time on my phone "Crap we have 20 minutes." I practically screamed.         " Grab you stuff and let's go." I said grabbing by the shoulders. She did what she was told and we both ran to the car. What a good start of the day I thought to myself while driving.
