"What are you doing? You know it looks weird for a grown man to be a children's playground, right?" I stare down at Austin, who was laying at the bottom of a slide. "Oh! Hi, Jay!" He sits up. I just give him an unamused look. "Fancy seeing you here." He wiggles his eyebrows.

"You texted me saying to come here." I roll my eyes. "Oh yeah, that's right. I was lonely. Hope i wasn't bothering you too much."

I cross my arms over my chest. Sure Austin can be a huge pain in the ass sometimes - if not most of the time. But he can be sweet those other times, and okay, maybe just a little funny. And, he's my best friend. So i kind of have to love him, not that I don't already.

"I was only working on school work. But yeah, no big deal." I shrug one shoulder. He scratches the back of his neck and lets out a small sigh. "Honestly, dude, I don't really understand why you want to study over summer. You're suppose to relax and have fun! You've only got a couple more years of highschool - holy shit you're gonna be in eleventh grade!" He stands up and suffocates me in a hug. "Ohhhh! My baby boy is growing up so fast!" He exclaims.

"Get... Off me!" I struggle pushing him away. "And don't call me that!"

He backs away but keeps his hands on my shoulders. "What? You mean baby boy?" He laughs a little. "Aw, is that embarrassing? Huh, baby boy~ Is it?"

I scoff and put my hand on his face. "Shut up."

"Awwww! I am embarrassing him!" He says loudly. I cover his whole face more as I feel my cheeks heat up. "Dude, there are people here. Shut. Up." I said through my teeth. He only muffled a chuckle behind my hand.

"Anyways." I take my hand off his face and wiped it on my shorts because ew, he slobbered on me. "That's exactly why I'm studying over summer, so I can get ahead and go into more advanced classes. The sooner I can get that shit done, the better." I mumble the last part.

Austin catches me by surpise by throwing his arm over my shoulders. "And the sooner you can come live with me." He said confidently.

I roll my eyes again and sigh. "I told you, I'm not living with you." I lightly punch his side. He annoyingly whines. Over dramatic doofus.

"Anywho," he pulls my beanie over my eyes. I stick my tounge out at him as I readjust my beanie.

He points at me. "I've got something to show you."

"Can you get your arm off me first?"

He retracts his arm to his own personal space. He then held his hands up in defense. "Geez okay, okay baby boy. No need to get hostile." He turns around and puts his hand behind his head as he starts walking off towards a trail that lead into the woods. I growl at the stupid nicname. But there's just no way of stopping him, is there?

I take my beanie off as I follow him. I stuff it in my back pocket and run a hand through my short hair. I recently got it cut by Heather because hey, it was summer and i was not going to deal with that long hair I had before. Okay, well, it wasn't to long, but it was getting to long for me to handle anymore. Heather did a surprisingly good job. I though she would have given me a millitary haircut or something.

"So where are we going?" I ask, having to slightly jog to keep up with Austin's long strides.

"Mmm, just somewhere I found while I was practising my BMX jumps."

"Of course that's what you were doing." I say monotonously. "Hey, bro, I'm getting pretty good at i- whoa holy sHIT. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HEAD BEAUTY?!" He stops walking.

I look at him with strong confusion. "My... What?" I quietly say. "Are you talking about my beanie? It's right here-"

"NO YOUR HAIR!" Both his hands shoot up to my head and he starts messing with my hair. "It's... It's so short." He pouted. Is he going to cry? Oh Jesus Christ...
