The bright sun and the birds chirping, along with fingers gently running up and down your arm woke you up the next day and you couldn't help but smile when you remembered where you were.

You looked up and met Damon's eyes, now this was a sight you could get used to waking up to on a morning.

His dark hair was messy, his blue eyes still slightly glazed over with sleep, a smile appeared on his lips when your eyes met.

"Good morning, beautiful," he said softly.

"Good morning yourself," you said with a smile before leaning forward and kissing him.

He responded immediately, his hand tangling in your hair, his other arm that was wrapped around your waist pulled you in close to him as he kissed you back. The kiss was so gentle and full of much love and passion. It truly was perfect.

There had been something that you had wanted to talk to him about ever since last night and you figured that now would be a good time since it was just the two of you and you knew that later on, you wouldn't have the courage to talk to him about this.

"Damon?" you said softly once you'd pulled out of the kiss.

"Yes, princess?" he asked, gazing deeply into your eyes.

"How is this, us, going to work? I'm human and you're a vampire," you told him.

"We'll find a way, baby. We'll always find a way," he replied, his finger caressing your cheek now.

"Damon, I'm falling in love with you and I don't care if this is too soon, I have to say it. I can't live without you, Damon, I just can't," you confessed.

"I'm falling in love with you too, gorgeous and I can't live without you either, Y/N."

The moment was cliché but right now you didn't care about that.

"Then I have a request and I'm hoping that as my boyfriend that you'll understand and help me with this."

"What is it?" he asked as he propped himself up on his elbow so he was looking down on you, concern and confusion written all over his face.

"Turn me."
