~Lights p.o.v~

"You want to go to the coffee shop with me?" I asked a bit confused. I let out a small laugh. "Why?"

"Because I want to. We are friends after all, right?" He replied back. Ryuzaki didn't show much expression on his face. Not even a faint smile.

"Ok sure. But we can't be long. I have a big test coming up at school and it's important I get a really good grade on it so I need to study. I'm Light Yagami, it's important for me to get top of me class." I let out a small smile.

"Yeah, yeah. Quit boasting and lets get going." He said back to me. I nodded my head and began to walk with him. Jeez. Why did I say yes? I have too much work to do! Why am I walking along side L when I should be at home writing names in the Death Note or studying for finals. Oh well, I already said yes and now were half way there.

"So Light, how have you been?" L asks me.

"Iv'e been alright. Just been studying like crazy for those finals, ya know?" I reply back.

"Ah. Well, sorry for dragging you out here. I know you have to study and all but, we shouldn't be long."

"No it's fine. I don't mind."

Once we arrive to the coffee shop and walk in, there is many delicious smells of coffee and sweets. I look over at L and he seems to be enjoying the aroma. He really does have a sweet tooth. The two of us walk up to the counter to take our orders.

"Yes I'll have a small coffee and a slice of strawberry cake." L says to the woman taking our orders. He looks over to me.

"I'd like a medium coffee and a croissant." I say. The woman, Sandra, it says on her name tag, nods her head and say "Alright, that'll be 13.55." I take my wallet out to pay half but L puts his hand in front of mine. I look at him a bit confused.

"That's ok Light. I got it." He says while opening his wallet.

"Are you sure, Ryuzaki?" I ask.

"Yes." He replies with.

"Well, alright." He hands the woman 13 dollars and 55 cents. She takes it and puts it into the cash register and hands him a recite. We both move over and wait for our order to be ready. The both of us wait in a silence that is some what awkward. When we are handed our drinks and pastries, we take a seat in the shop. We sit across from each other.

"You know, you really didn't have to pay for my stuff." I tell him. He takes a bite of his cake and looks over to me. But I wanted to. Don't worry about it ok?" He tells me, stabbing a fork in the cake for another bite. I let out a small sigh and reply with "Fine." I lift up my drink to take a sip of coffee. I spit it out onto myself and across the table.

"Ahh! Hot!" I say wiping my mouth. My lips and tongue burn from the heat of the coffee.

"Light! Are you ok?" L asks with a tone of concern in his voice.

"Yeah, I'm f-" But before I could finish my sentence I feel L dab a napkin on my chest and lap (where I spilled the coffee). I feel my cheeks heat up and I look down at him who is blushing as well. What the Hell is happing right now? Why are we blushing???

"S-Sorry." L says looking away and trying to hide his face.

"Oh, no it's ok. Thank you..." I reply. He just nods his head and continues eating his cake.

"You're welcome."

All was silent from then on. T-To be honest I think I may be having some feelings towards L. Yes, I know L and Kira are supposed to hate each other but... What if they love each other. I laugh at myself in my head. Come on Light. I'm not actually falling in love with L. That's crazy. And besides, last time I checked I was straight. We both finish our drinks and food then we walk out the door. We've spent about 30 minutes together. I know I was yearning for this get together to end the moment we began walking to the coffee shop but oddly, I don't want to leave him.

"Hey L, uhh I mean Ryuzaki?" I ask.

"Yes Light?" He replies.

"W-Well you see, I really like this one person and I don't know how to confess my love. But you see, I think I really love... Him." I say blushing a lot. My damn cheeks feel like they are on fire!

"Well Light, I think you should just tell him how you feel. I'm sure he'll feel the same way." He says. I look over at him and he looks a bit jealous to say the least. Could we really share the same feelings?

"I-I just did..." I tell him. God I'm stupid. Did I really just say that!? My life is over. This is way too embarrassing. L stops walking and so do I. He looks at me.

"Light." He says. I want to go home and never come out again.

"Never mind, I'm sorry. Jeez I wish I would have just said no and stayed home studying in my room. God this is embarrassing. I can't believe I ju-" But suddenly I feel a pair of lips crash into mine. He breaks the kiss.

"R-Ryuzaki!?" I ask really surprised. Did that just happen. He was blushing.

"You see Light, I hade a bit of a crush on you too." He says looking down and scratching his wrist while blushing. I begin to kiss him again, but this time longer and more passionate. When we both ran out of breath we broke apart only being connected be a trail of saliva.

"A-Are you sure you have to go study right now?" L asked still looking a bit surprised from what just happened. I giggled a bit.

"Nope. That can wait." I say with a smile. He smiles back sweetly. We both hold each others hands and walk back home not being ashamed of saying "He's my boyfriend."
