Taehyung POV

"I'm a doctor!" I shouted. "I should be there! Please!"

"Sir," said one of the nurses, standing in front of me, keeping me from going into the hospital room with Hobi. "You're too unstable. Please leave this to us."

Hands wrapped around me, caging me in someone's embrace. I struggled against their grip.

"Let me go!" I protested. "Let me go!"

"You're causing a scene, Tae," Namjoon said. "Calm down."

I began to cry for the umpteenth time that night, terrified for what might happen to him.

"I...I want to see him," I pleaded, my struggling growing rapidly weaker. "I want to see him."

Jimin cupped my face and leaned his forehead against mine. "I know you do but right now you can't. All we can do is pray. Okay? Take a deep breath."

When he inhaled, so did I; when he exhaled, so did I. I knew it wasn't going to do any good being hysterical.

I closed my eyes and reopened them as Jimin pulled away and Namjoon let go.

"Let's go wait in the waiting room," said Yoongi.

I stood up from my seat as soon as the doctor came out.

He looked at me with sad eyes.

I rushed over to him. "What happened?"

"I'm terribly sorry," he said. "We did all we could. I'm very truly sorry."

"No. Don't tell me..." I felt like I was going to throw up.

He shook his head. "He suffered from internal bleeding. We couldn't help him in time."

I covered my mouth.

"You can't be serious," said Yoongi from behind me.

"He's gone?" asked Jimin.

The doctor said nothing.

"Please! There must be something more you can do!" I cried.

His frowned only deepened.

I licked my lips. "Can I go see him?"

He nodded and lead me to the room. I turned to my friends who had followed me.

"I think I need some—"

"Time alone?" Namjoon finished. "We get it."

Jimin was trying to hide his tears, but more kept streaming down. Yoongi held him close.

"Go on," he said.

I took a deep breath before opening the door. I gently clicked it closed, surprised at how calm I was, though I figured it was because I was in denial about his death.

I carefully made my way over to him and sat on the chair beside his bed. He looked so beautiful sleeping there. He looked like he was just taking a nap and that at any moment he would wake up.
