Amalie's POV

When I woke up it was pitch black. I couldn't remember anything. I felt around looking for a door.. When I opened it I saw I was in a closet. Suddenly, I remembered everything.

Flashback

We were running for days. Never stopping for more than two days. I was constantly tired. We never had enough food for the three of us. We were alone in a zombie invested city. Just me and my parents. The last survivors. We stopped at a farm house east of Atlanta. My parents searched it and it was declared safe. We stayed the night. One night before the zombies came.

We heard moaning. I ran to the window. Zombies everywhere. I screamed which attracted even more. The zombies were banging on the doors and windows. My Mom shoved me in the closet telling me to stay down. I cried and told her not to go. She didn't listen. Her and my Dad went out and fought the zombies. They never came back.

End Flashback

I Amalie O'hare  was the last living being left. I thought.

Marc's POV

I was getting real sick of canned food. It was all I ever ate. My stomach rumbled. I wanted food bad but lunch wasn't for two more hours. You would think being stuck in Atlanta I would find some decent food. I couldn't just walk down the street, go into a store, and grab some food. That would be a death wish. Besides, I wasn't about to walk out and leave Shayda all alone. We were stuck in a tiny music store with only a few more cans of food. I went and looked at the food backpack. All I saw were four measley cans of cold spaghettios. I made my decision.

"Shayda" I called. "Pack your bags were going east." While I waited, I thought about how this all happened. Some stupid scientist experimenting, created this. Then he got eaten and the zombies escaped.

Shayda ran over." All ready" She said.

" Lets go"
