Chapter 2 gloss' P.O.V
The couch in here is rather uncomfortable but that's the least of my concerns, really. I am more concerned about cashmere than anything. I know she is tough but if I die in that arena I know she'll break.
the doors suddenly open and my mother stands in front of me. she hugs me tightly and says "your so brave" well, I wasn't expecting her to say that. I thought she would have been angry or upset but its almost like she is proud of me. I finally break the silence and say "your not angry or upset, mum" we break the hug and just stare at each other. "no, not at all son" she says and pulls me back into a hug. the next thing I know mum is being dragged out of the room by a peacekeeper and I sit in the almost empty room alone.
I get a fright when the door rushes open and cashmere walks in with a large smile on her face " I am so proud of you" she says " I know you gonna win this thing"she continues ,
"really?" I say with a smile on my face.
" Uh-huh" she chirps a little over-confidently. the same peacekeeper who took mum comes to collect cashmere. my last words are "take care of mum for me" and that's it. she's gone. I might never see either of them ever again. this thought makes me regret that I volunteered but I take it back when I remember I am honouring my district.
Elanay opens the door and says "well, come come dear I already have emerald here so hurry up" she finishes. I get up so quickly the door doesn't even have time to shut. "Gosh, I didn't mean that fast" elanay says with a slightly shocked face. "oh, um, my bad" I say not really caring.

I always knew that the train was luxurious but I never really knew that it was this good.
