I felt my eyelid flicker, it was strange , I haven't felt anything in ages. The eye blinding light shone directly to my eyes, a stinging pain occurred. What was that ? I wondered.Then I realised I was awake , slightly.I delicately turned my head to my side to see if my parents or at least someone was there but as I did so I screamed in agony.I couldn't look. All of a sudden I could hear what seemed like hundreds of footsteps thudding towards me .
"Oh baby ! I can't believe it, your awake after a year of terror , you are finally awake oh darling !" sobbed a voice of what seemed like a lady. Was this lady my mum ? I must have said it out loud because I felt a hand grip mine and a shadow hang over me .I opened my eyes to find a familiar face above me . It was mum!
"
Mum! Has it really been a year ? I croaked.I had thought and wondered many things when I was in my coma but I some how didn't wonder how long I had been asleep.
" Nurse its a miracle she's awake!" cried my mum.
" How extraordinary!"
All the nurses came hurrying towards me , crowding around me and checking my pulse.
I groaned, I had just woke up and now I am being pestered by the nurses." I want to go home ! "
" Don't be silly babe! You are severely ill with burns from head to toe.It's all my fault leaving you alone that nigh!At least your alright! God please let it stay this way ! "
