Roxy POV

The school year is almost over, only a week left and I'm so excited. I've been so busy lately with dance and school. I just need a break. I was walking with Holly after school. We were just walking and talking about random stuff.

"So do you have anything planned for during the break?" I asked while I kept looking forward to see where we were going as she did the same, trying to be as casual as possible. I know we have been best friends for as long as we can remember, and she always told me everything and we would do all of the best friend stuff that everyone does. But it just feels different. She has been really distant lately. It feels like she's not telling me something. I don't know, I probably over thinking it. I just realised when I lost my train of thought because of a dog barking thought a fence of a house we passed. I noticed she still hadn't answered my question. "Well..?" I asked turning my head toward her as we kept on walking.

"Oh GOSH! I can't keep it from you anymore!" Holly let out as she stopped walking. I turned to her then she put her hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked, starting to get worried.

"There's no easy way to tell you this so I'm just gonna come out and say it....I'm leaving when school finishes."

"What do you mean by leaving!?"

"What I mean is," Holly started tearing up. "I'm moving to New York" she finally said before a single tear ran down her face.

"WHAT! Why didn't you tell me this earlier?" I said in shock as I started to cry as well.

"I would have told you sooner, it's just that I didn't know how to without hurting you."

"Why are you moving to New York?" I tried to stay calm.

"My dad just got a big job promotion, and he has to transfer to New York."

"Oh," I was looking down at the ground but then lifted my head up to look at Holly as I wiped my tears away. "I can't believe this is happening, I'm losing my best friend."

"No, don't say that. Yes, I'm moving away, and yes, we won't be able to see each other as much anymore, but our friendship is way too strong for that. We have been best friends for like ever and I'm not going to let the fact that I'm moving change that. I'm always gonna try to call you or see you, and I'm gonna text you as much as I can. Understand? We are going to make this work! Okay?" She explained as we continued walking. We got up to the street we live on because we live in the same street.

"Okay, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye." I said as I hugged her like we normally do before going our separate ways home, but this time I hugged her just that little bit tighter because I now know that it will probably be one of the last hugs I'll get from her for a long time.

"Cya" Holly said just before we both turned away from each other and started walking to our own homes.

I put my earphones in my ears and listening to my music on my iPod. Music always calms me down. I was making my way past the park to get to my house, everything seemed normal, that was until I heard someone yelling, so I took out my earphones and turned around and its some tall blond guy running up to me screaming and waving his arms around.

"HEADS UP!... WATCH OUT!... MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!..."

I looked up to see a football coming towards me, but I didn't have enough to react and move out of the way. All of this happened in like a split second. It comes down and hits me right in the head, it was that hard that it made me stumble and fall over hitting my head again but this time on the ground.

"AHHH, OUCH!" I winced in pain. The next thing I that I notice is the blond guy ran up to me and knelt down.

"I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" He asked, you could tell he was worried.

I turned to look up at him and that was when he looked even more concerned. He pointed to my head, and I put my hand on my head then looked at my hand, it was covered in blood. That's when the pain hit me even harder. My hands started shaking. "OH MY GOD!" I said through my shallow uneven breaths

"Here, let me help you." He said as he helped me up and sat me on the park bench that was near us. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean for that to happen." Then he yelled towards to some other blond guy. "RIKER! GET SOME HELP NOW!"

I see a bunch of other people running towards us. I turn to the blond guy that's with me. He is looking at me straight in the eyes. Everything started to get blurred. "I don't feel so good." Then everything went black.
