I was at Hockey practice for my team The Bronx Heater until my coach had called me over and standing next to him was a very short man."Hello Shakeema I'm Don Tibbles from Hendrix Hockey Apparel and I was wondering if you would like to play in the Goodwill Games.?" "Of Course who will be on the team?"I asked " Minnesota state champs the Duck ,and some other kids from across the United States, if your coach doesn't mind you leaving now I suggest you go home and pack because we have an early flight to go to Minnesota."he said.After that encounter I went straight home and ask my mom."Hola Mama." I said to my mom as I walked into the kitchen to see her cooking."Hola mija,why are you home so early.?"she asked."Mom during practice I got approached by Don Tibbles,he works for Hendrix Hockey Apparel and he asked me if I wanted to play in their Goodwill Games and I had accepted the offer and I wanted to see if you were okay with it." "Of course Mija I'm so proud of you,why don't you go upstairs and start packing and I'll finish dinner. I decided to go talk to my little sister Lasianica because me and her are very close even though she is only 8 years old.I walked on her in one of bed "Hey Stink whatcha doin? I asked as I went to go lay with her."I am watching The Jungle Book."she replied."Well I have to tell you something"she nodded for me to continue."I am going away for awhile to go play hockey for Team USA" and when I said that her face literally dropped,I knew this would be difficult for her especially after my dad left to be an army man and I fell like I made it worse."How long will you be gone?"she asked."At least for a month,but if mom let's you you can come to one of my games."I said back and she instantly smiled after the conversation I stayed in her room and watched the rest of The Jungle Book with her until dinner.After dinner I packed my suitcase, took a shower and went straight to bed
