Dear Diary,
I hated those noises. I never knew why, but I always hated the noises and creaks and moans and groans and scratches and annoyances of the night. Ever since I was about 6, I heard them. (I'm 8 now) My parents heard them too and got scared, so we moved. They didn't stop. He said they never will. He is Dohna. Dohna is my friend from the woods. Momma and Daddy and Billie, my sister, could never know about him. I gotta go now. Before he gets here. If he sees me writing about him he will hurt me like last time. He hurt me everywhere. Everywhere.

She sat down at her window. A cold breeze brushed her but Carmen stayed unphased. She began to sing a song, "So Allein." It was a german song that she heard Billie sing sometimes.
Suddenly he appeared.
"Carmen! Carmen! I have great news!" Dohna said cleary out of breath from his run to Carmen's window.
He stood nearly 2 feet over Carmen being 14 years old. That's what he told her anyway. She never questioned him for she knew the things he could- no would do.
"Dohna, what is it?" Carmen asked slowly getting up from her seat by the window.
"Dad-- D--Daddy said you can come. You know how I always said we visit my uncle every year? Daddy said you can come this time. Of course you can't tell your parents though," he said as he stroked her innocent face in welcome.
"But they would get scared. I know you love me and I love you, but I really don't know if I can go with you Dohna."
"But you're my girlfriend. That's why we can't tell anyone. Not mommy. Not daddy. Not Billie. You have to come! If not we are breaking up!" Dohna said obviously trying to munipulate Carmen. She didn't know though. She knew nothing more than that he supposedly loved her.
