Preliminaries Begins

the day has finally came and the preliminaries had started, everyone was waiting in the battle arena lined up with their sensei, the Hokage and protectors were in front of them facing each other but it seems like Naruto was the only one missing from the group. Hinata, Shino, Shikamaru, Choji and Lee looked at each then opened there link ' where's Naru ' - Shika  making everyone glance around  but they couldn't see him anywhere until the heard the door behind them open, everyone turned their heads towards the door " sorry I'm late " said this person " Naruto-baka what are you doing here " yelled Sakura making Naruto narrow eyes towards her 

" you're right now time so take you place in line " said Sarutobi as he stepped forward " that's not fair, Naruto-baka gets to come late and he still get to pass " yelled Sakura making everyone whisper between everyone in the line of Genin expect for Shikamaru, Hinata, Shino, Choji, Lee, Sasuke and Sai " after saving you, you'll calling him out on it " thought both Sasuke and Sai as they shook their head slightly, Iruka  stepped forward " Sakura, Naruto was the first one to get here " said Iruka " how is that possible " questioned Sakura " it is possible, he even broke the record " said Iruka making everyone gasp " i came then left because i had business to attend to.....remember " said Naruto as he narrow towards Sakura " oh right " mumbled Sakura as she lower her head  

the Hokage cleared his throat " congratulations on passing the second part of the exam " said Sarutobi making everyone excited but then they stop paying attention to him when they started whispering to each other and some of them just thought about useless things especially the rookies 8 " alright genki's listen up about the 3rd exam " yelled Anko making everyone stop with what they were doing and pay attention to the Hokage. Sarutobi started to talk about the 3rd and the reason behind it but then a leaf ninja appeared kneeing down in front of him, surprising every Genin " i apologize, Hokage-sama from here on, as the referee all you please allow me, Hayate Gekkou " said Hayate " by all means " said Sarutobi as he step back line " alright everyone my name is Hayate............umm before the third test there's *cough cough * something i'd like you to do * cough cough * " said Hayate making everyone sweat-drop then they glanced at each then back at Hayate " what????..... this person looks sick, is he alright??? " thought every Genin " umm its a preliminary for the third test, to decide who gets to participate in the main event " finished Hayate

" preliminary??? " questioned everyone " what you mean??? preliminary " questioned Sasuke " sensei i don't understand this preliminary thing but why aren't all the people here allowed to participate in the next test " questioned Sakura making everyone nodded, while Hayate explained why everyone won't be participate Naruto, Hinata, Shikamaru, Lee, Shino and Choji looked at each other and send signals with their eyes but it didn't go unnoticed by Hayate " are you listening " asked Hayate making them look up " yea " said all 6 " then what did i say " asked Hayate making all 5 look at Naruto " what " asked Naruto making Shikamaru make a ' you explain ' face " ugh omg fine * Naruto sigh *  you said because this year exams are easy, there more Genin then all of you expected so according to the chuinn exams rules, you guys must have a preliminary to reduce the number of participants for the third test " explained Naruto " good, well *cough cough *  the preliminaries are gonna start now " said Hayate surprising everyone who had arrive that day without getting an rest 

 " I'm going to quite " said one of the Genin making everyone looked towards the voice, Hayate looked at his paper " ummm * cough cough *  you're Kabuto Yakushi from the leaf right?? *cough cough *  you may leave now " said Hayate " everything is going according to plan " thought Kabuto sensei who was Orochimaru passing off as a leaf sensei, this ' sensei '  smirk towards Kabuto who smirk back while he fixed his glass 

" * cough cough *  umm does anyone else want to retire??? oh umm i forgot to mention that from now on it will be individual battle so you may raise your hand based on your own judgement " explained Hayate Naruto glared at Kabuto " too bad you're leaving, i was looking forward to killing you " said Naruto as he let out some killing intend all while smiling like a crazy person " we have to leave it for another time, i don't my body is up for it, today " said Kabuto then he left but not before he smirked once again at his ' sensei ' then he walked away " I'm sorry Naruto, i wish i could play with you more but I'm a spy after all, i just cant reveal my true face here " thought Kabuto as he left through the door " you're job of gathering information is done " thought ' sensei ' but in reality Kabuto wasn't able to get any information
