12 year old Julian Cassier walks into her favorite store on main street of new york city new york: Gieas Old Fantasies of Old Ages. The shop smells of old book pages and the owners perfume, lavender escape. You could not see a centimeter of wall in all of the place it had so many books. As she walks the rows of oak shelves her flowy black hair dances behind her and she sees if there is any new donations of books. The rows are in alphabetical order and she stops in the W isil. There was a book on the top shelf that wasn't there yesterday. She reaches up and grabs the book. It was the oldest book she had ever seen. It was called The Wakes of Ancients. Thin metal wires curved carefully around it and was formed as a tree out the side. The word were separated by the wire. She looks for a price and it says $3.00. Julian wonders why would a book in this shape be so cheap. I think this is a good deal. I am going get it.
She walks up to the counter and says " just this one ma'me."
" Ok that will be $3.00" the owner says in response
Julian grabs the book and it starts glowing. In reflex she drops the book and it stops.
" Opps ! I can be very clumsy" she says in embarrassment to the owner.
Julian walks out of the book shop onto the sidewalk and starts walking home. The New York skyscrapers all around tower above. The cars and traffic rush around her. Julian is easy going and hard to anger she is easy to make friends with and will always stand up for them. Eventually Julian gets home.
"Hello! Hello?" she yells out into the open.
After a few seconds a yell comes back saying "I'm in the living room!"
Julian's apartment was big. It had a high ceiling and was a pent house. Her parents were hard working and loved Julian all they could.
Julian went into the living room and her Parents were looking at their computer screens. They were always working. Her dad owned Samsung. Her mom was an owner of a powerful company, so Julian walked into her room.
It was large and the bed was in the center her walls were covered with books she had bought or wrote over the years. The walls were blue and she had every thing she ever wanted. She had a dream closet and bathroom strung off from her main quarters. In the room connected to her sleeping chamber was a sitting room for her to read and hangout with friends.
She sighed. The rooms were just too big for her liking. She collapsed on her bed and started to read. She got enclosed in the book and hours pass by. She reads and reads. The deeper she gets to the book the more she wants this world of magic to come true, the more she wants the book to be reality.
Then she hears a call from the kitchen.
She hears her fathers voice as she walks in the kitchen"Dinner time Julian. Get off your butt and get drinks and forks. When you are finished eating you will do the dishes and go do the rest of your homework."
Julian then thinks to herself: this is going to be a long night.
