“He’s never going to want to talk to me again.” I say, slumping back against the wall. Legolas frowns and rubs circles on my arm with his thumb.
“He will, he will understand. As I told you before, his Healer instincts will come through eventually and he will realize that it is better this way.” He kisses my cheek.
"I just need some thinking time." I whisper. Legolas looks at me sadly and nods. "I will be in the throne room if you need anything." He says, taking my hand and giving it a little kiss. I smile slightly and start making my way towards the direction Sadron went.
It only took me a couple minutes to find that Sadron was in one of the healing rooms, standing and staring out the window. I frowned and walked forward slowly.
"Sadron? Are you alright?" I ask, reaching forward and putting a hand on his shoulder. He growls and moves away from me.
"You ask me if I'm alright? I just watched my brother kiss one of the only people I've ever loved." He says, his back towards me. I frown. "He always gets everything. I was a forbidden child. Merely a misfortune upon my father's mistress. She died upon giving birth to me. Being human she could not bear giving birth to an elf. I was raised with Legolas, but when of age I was sent to live with the healers, and have been here since. No one has asked what I wanted, and I watch my half-brother basically treat you like my mother was treated. Loved and respected one minute. Forgotten the next." He suddenly turned around, a glint in his eye that I had never seen before. Frightened, I back up against the wall.
"You are beautiful Lady Amarra, but sadly I think you must die. I would love to see you happy with me, but I would love to get revenge on my brother more, have him watch me kill his mistress." He laughs evilly.
"I'm not his mistress! I'm his mela (love)! You even said so Sadron!" I yell, pulling a dagger from my boot and holding it towards Sadron.
"Oh but it will be fun all the same." He laughs. Suddenly the dagger becomes hot and I drop it, screaming and waving my hands in the air in efforts to cool them off. Sadron takes his chance to pick up my dagger and pin me against the wall with the dagger to my neck.
"Come now Amarra, scream for him." He cackles. I shake my head in refusal. His eyebrows pinch together and presses the blade to my neck.
“You are making this all the more fun, I’m excited to see his face as he watches the light leave your beautiful eyes.” He whispers in my ear, slicing at my neck.
"LEGOLAS!" I scream loudly from the pain. Sadron smiles and releases the pressure of the blade as footsteps get closer to the room. Sadron turns as Legolas and a guard enter the room. His eyes widen at Sadron's bloody hands, then his gaze shifts to me. He quickly draws his bow and aims it at Sadron.
"Step away from Lady Amarra." He says, every muscle in his body tense. Sadron just laughs.
"No dear brother, I have summoned you here to watch your mela die." He smirks. Legolas face contorts with rage. Sadron steps closer to me and within moments has the blade pressed against my neck. I look at Legolas as he draws his bow.
'Legolas.' I mouth to him as he releases his bow.
