I slumped in my seat, waiting for lunch to be over. I'm so confused. Why would he do that, and in front I the whole senior class? It doesn't make sense to me. Whatever game he's playing, I won't participate in.
"What was that?" Mel turns to me. I shrug my shoulders, not able to find my voice.
"Obviously it was something." Jamie muttered, taking a boîte of her salad.
"It doesn't matter what that was." Johnny barked. "He can't just decide things about her without her actually knowing about it." You can tell realization hits them.
It should have been obvious to them that I had no idea what Harry was talking about. I was just as confused and surprised as they were. Of course I wouldn't willingly see him again; let alone him come to my house. It's tiring when people continue to think I'm so willing to give my whole body away.
"He's Harry Styles, though. He can do and have whatever and whoever he wants. It just so happens he wants Arabella."
"And you think we'd let him take her like a piece of meat!" Louis nearly shouts. His face is red. He's like a whole different person. All humor is gone from his face, replaced by...rage.
"Don't you guys understand." Hannah speaks up. She's been quiet since Harry's announcement. It was as if she were contemplating something.
"What else is there to understand?!" Louis glares at her. "All he wants to do is shag her then toss her!"
"No! Damn Louis, chill the fuck out for one second!" Now Hannah's scowling. "This is twice now! Two times Harry fucking Styles has been to lunch, and his eyes land on Arabella." She explains slowly.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?" Chad squints his eyes like he's trying to understand Hannah's words.
"God, he doesn't just com to lunch, no he doesn't come at all, and he sure as hell doesn't look at the same girl twice."
It's almost like recollection just slapped all of them in the face. I'm just confused, still. I understand if the badass of Patterson High School never shows at lunch. It's just unknown to me why they've been making such a big deal out of this whole mess.
"He's already make his mark on her at your party. If any of you were to try and stop him you'd be right in the hospital." Hannah further explains.
I just sit there while thy talk about me as if I'm not there. I'm waiting for one of them to remember my presence. The curiosity is building up. My ears are open, hoping for them to be less vague.
"Maybe we can keep her out of his sights and hands. He'll eventually get bored and forget about her." The words that leave Mel's mouth make me grimace.
I don't want Harry to forget about me. Somehow he makes me feel alive. He's enticing, almost so alluring that I feel compelled. It's like a force pulling me towards him against my will. I sound dramatic, but I can't help what I feel.
"Guys." I decide to speak and kill this curiosity. They completely ignore me and keep talking about me much to my dismay. "Guys!" I say with a raise of my voice and a stern tone. They turn and look at me.
"What are you guys saying? You make it sound as if I'm a target to get." I finally ask the question that's been gnawing at my gut.
"You are a target Arabella." Mel says. She doesn't even sugarcoat it. It came out too blunt for my liking.
"He wants you." Hannah looks at me. "He wants your innocence, to have you and call you his. You're already his." She says with an expressionless face.
