Sofia’s POV

“Honey, time to get up! It’s your first day at your new school!”

 Ugh. No.

“I dof wanna fo.” I tried to say that I did not want to go, but my voice was muffled my the pillow I was currently laying on.

“You have to! Maybe you’ll meet a boy and forget about…” She stopped. I know what she was going to say. She was going to tell me to forget about Lucas. But how could I? He was my boyfriend of almost 3 years and he left to go to London in February. It was currently March and I was sooooo not over him. We both lived in Cheshire before, I just moved houses and got a into a new school, but he went all the way to London. I know Cheshire and London are just four hours apart, but long distance relationships don’t work.

 “All right, I’m up.”

“That’s my girl! Your father left for the office early, but he told me to tell you to have a great day and that he loves you.” She told me smiling and I returned that smile. She skipped happily out of my room to make breakfast. She was such a morning person.

 I was not.

I thought about flopping back into my pillow, but I decided to check my phone that was charging on my nightstand.

 Big mistake.

Lucas had posted a tweet just a couple of seconds ago.

 @Lucas_C:

Having a lovely breakfast day with my #1 girl<3 I love you @Ashley0102 <3

Tears welled up in the corners of my eyes. I fucking hate crying. I am Sofia Mendez and I do not fucking cry.

 Except this hurt like hell.

But I was not going to let this Ashley chick bring me down. I will find a new boyfriend, and I will make Lucas jealous. He will want me back.

But I don’t want him back.

I went over to my closet, in attempt to find the hottest outfit I could.  Black skinny jeans, a crop top with a daisy pattern, and a pair of black combat boots with gold straps. It was perfect. And really hot as well.

Now bathroom time. After a teeth brush, I decided to curl my wavy brown hair just a tiny bit. It was hardly noticeable, but it added more volume to my hair. I painted my nails black. I actually looked quite bad ass. And I liked it. But I was missing something. I went over to my huge collection of beanies. I loved beanies. I had one in every color. Some with patters, others with words. Some cotton, some wool. I had about 25 beanies. I loved that collection with my heart.

To match my jeans, shirt, and shoes, I grabbed a black wool beanie with he word “Dope” stitched in white. It was one of my faves.

I checked my watch. I noticed I still had about 45 minutes to get ready and eat breakfast. So I needed to do something to kill time.

I rearranged my beanies by color order. But when I was done with that I still had 35 minutes to kill. Then I thought I should wear makeup.

I usually don’t wear makeup to school, but I guess I could now because I was having a ‘fresh start’ or whatever.

I made my eyes look even bigger with black liquid liner. And my eyelashes were naturally long. Super long. But I wore mascara anyways. My eyes were nothing special. They were plain brown but turned a lighter brown when I was under the sun. With my lips I just added a light pink lipstick. And put it all together with some blush. I looked good if I may say so myself.
