Step it Up!

Leo's POV

Sweat ran down my face as I felt the music pick back up. I started to do the count in my head, '1,2,3'. I looked to the right of me and saw two of the people I have grown up with and became really close with. Kendall, the girl right beside me, was one of my best friends we've known each other since we were litearlly in diapers. Her face, like mine, was as red as her hair, we both had sweat falling from our forehead and I saw her mentally counting in her head as well. I looked past my friend and my eyes landed on my red face, younger sister, Melissa. Her dark brown hair, like mine, was tied up in a bun. Her hazel green eyes, were focused as she counted in her head. Then suddenly our coach said, "5, 6, 7,8," and then we all moved in sync as the music blasted through the speakers. 

All of us moved in sync to the music and we had this routine down pat. This was the routine we were going to perform to get an audition for the new addition of the Step Up movies. The music stopped as we finished the last move and all got together. We all looked up to our coach and he had a blank expression. At first no one spoke up, but then Kendall said, "How was that?

"How was that?" our coach said as he pushed his blonde hair out of his eyes and walked up to us. 

"It was perfect," he said as he saw our faces get worried. 

We all cheered and then our coach said, "You guys are so ready for this audition and I know you guys will make it."

"Thanks," we all said uninson. 

After we talked to our coach, whose name is Jonathan, for a while we walked over to our gym bags and sat down to talk. 

"So are we coming back down here after school, to practice some more?" Melissa asked as she fixed her messy brown bun. 

"Well, I won't be here till later if you guys come," Kendall said as she redid her ponytail. 

"Why not?" I asked as I got a water bottle out of my gym bag.

"My mom is making me meet her fiance's kids today at some stupid dinner thing after school," Kendall replied with an eye roll. 

"Hey, whats the matter I thought you actually liked the guy your mom is seeing?" Melissa said as she finally resulted in just pulling her hair into a ponytail as well. 

"I do, but he has a son that's mine and Leo's age and if I know my mother she will make me invite him to meet you guys," Kendall said as she zipped her bag up after getting a water from it. 

"Oh, come on Kendall he might not be that bad," I said as I zippped up my bag. 

"Yeah, maybe. Shit we better go it's already almost 7," Kendall said as she looked at her phone. 

We all quickly grabbed the rest of our things and darted out of the studio to get home and make it to school.

Everyone at school knew that were audtioning for the new Step Up movie and people were trying to get real friendly with us. But living in a small town, we knew must of them were hypocrites just trying to be friends with us to go to L.A. 

After the first bell we went seperate ways and I had to go to my first block of the new year. As I was walking to class I wasn't really paying attention and I ran in to something and I fell backwards on my ass. 

"Fuck!" I yelled out as my ass made contact with the floor. 

"Oh, my bad are you okay?" a deep, but still light voice asked?
