16 - Epilogue

The months were not easy. After the ordeal with Miguel and the time "fixing things" Eris found the time to take another test. And to their luck ... she was pregnant. Again Mac was a little concerned but with a little more talking from Eris he soon calmed down. The same time she manger to speak with her sister. Ollie was still recovering from such a horrifying experience at the time but Eris managed to get some words out of him. Linda also agreed to keep Eris' and Macs secret. For the sake of their kid. Eris' stomach grew and grew but it didn't change the way Mac felt for her. He was mostly thanking the pregnancy for her breast becoming bigger. He couldn't keep his hands away from her half the time. But now was the day he was fearing, along with Eris. Her water broke. They couldn't even suggest going to the hospital. With the curse who knows what could happen. Eris could've changes half way through. The baby could've been born as a wolf. Just the slightest difference might've been suspicious. When the time Eris was thanking her lucky stars that Linda had experience. She was once a nurse. That was how she met her late husband.

"Ok, push Eris" Linda ordered from between her legs. Eris did as she was ordered whilst taking in a deep breath. More pain than she had ever felt coursed through her body with every contraction.

"I guess ... I'm lucky you're a nurse" Eris said with a stiff laugh, trying to make the best of a painful situation.

"Well, I had to quit my job for the road trip / mission to find you" Linda smiled.

"Oh, but I heard that the doctors office near the Luna Messa needs a new hand" Eris informed.

"Good to know but for now you gotta push" Linda nodded. Eris nodded back and groaned out in pain as she pushed. It was like it was never gonna go away until she heard the cry of a child. She opened her eyes, which were beginning to water, to see Linda holding a little baby. Her baby. Her child. "It's a boy". Eris cried lightly at the news. Linda cut the cord and passed Eris her child who was now wrapped up in a blanket. The child wriggled around in her arms still lightly crying.

Linda clean Eris up and covered her lower half with a blanket. Linda took a bowl which had the cord, placenta and other birth mess in it and walked out the room. Seconds later, Eris heard the door open again. She looked up to see Mac giving him a loving look. He stares at the her and the child in awe. His child. He slowly walked over to the bed and sat down beside her. She heard him let out a stiff chuckle whilst kissing her on the top of her head.

"He's beautiful" Eris commented.

"Yea" he grunted in response.

"At least now you don't have any dead bodies to dispose of" Eris joked.

"Thank you God, it's not a girl" he smirked. They both heard a little whine and looked down at their child. He wriggled for a few minutes before slowly opening his big eyes. A clear blue coloured them as he stared at his parents with curiosity.

"Look at that" Eris giggled "he got your eyes".

"I know, those will get him the girls" Mac chuckled then allowed the baby to wrap it's tiny hand around his one finger "Hello, Draco". This was it. This was his family. And no one in the world would ever take that away from him.

Ok, that's it. That's the last chapter. She was pregnant and it was a little boy. When I read Mac books the child is usually a girl but I wanted to change it up a little. And I have always wanted to have a child called Draco. I just love the name ever since I heard it in Harry Potter. Anyway, maybe in the future I might do a sequel but I don't know if I will. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this book.
