This was written during Mardi Gras and after Mardi Gras

So, I took a couple of days off of school to go to Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras is a holiday/gigantic parade that we celebrate our culture. My culture comes from Zulu, so we're at the Zulu parade. So many beautiful headresses!

We woke up at 7:00 this morning, got there at 9:00. New Orleans has so much traffic around this time!

We get there, miles of walking that I'm used to, yatta yatta... (There was this guy playing music on big speakers so that made the wait interesting.)
And then the parade starts!
We already have so much stuff and it's only the 10th float.

About 3 hours later

I'm in the car right now, it was hella fun!
There were girls from a dance team twerking. It was hella ghetto, but still funny.
We got so much stuff it was ridiculous.
It's so much traffic right now, we literally moved 2 miles in 10 minutes.

It was so fun, though, and very exciting!
