Chapter Three Truth and The Big Question

Your Pov
You walked into the bar in Shield's base to see Tony halfway drinking and mumbling to himself. Your heart broke to see him like that just a complete reck and Steve was right Tony was torn apart after the fight. You fought the urge to just run up to him to kiss him, hug him and just tell him everything will be alright. But then you felt yourself moving right over to him and you were already sitting next to him.
Well there was no stopping now. He was about to reach for his probably by looking at the bottles his 20th drink. Hell you couldn't understand how this man hasn't died from drinking to much or how he was still a damn genius. ("Okay back on track you" Crazy said. "Fine" You replied.) You grabbed his hand and stopped him from taking his 21th drink. He looked at his hand and a tear dropped on to it.
"Tony please no more drinking I can't see you like this hell even Capsicle can't." You said and You saw a smile form then fall from his face.
"Tony......" You cupped your hands around his face and forced him to look at you. He locked eyes with yours and you saw regret in his eyes.
"I messed up so bad first the fight with you then the accords. I don't deserve anything." He pushed your hands away from his face. You couldn't help but argue back.
"The hell with that Tony from day one when we first met I knew you deserved to be happy; after all the hell you've been through! So don't say you don't deserve anything again. Now I came in here to get a drink but now I will make it my main priority to help your ass." You paused for a second then decided that it was probably best to tell him how you felt after the fight/breakup well kind of breakup was never actually official.
"Tony after the fight and a month apart I felt regret. Steve told me what happened and my heart start to tug me down. I couldn't train properly which means I couldn't go on the field with shield agents. I keep replaying the fight in my head trying to fix the fight so it would end up fine.......it haunted me for so long. I know I was a very rude selfish ass to you for getting pissed at you for protecting me like you should. I wasn't think and I am very very sorry for my bitchy attitude that day......will.....you.......forgive?" You looked up at him when you noticed your eyes were trained on the single tear drop from Tony.
Then you felt his hands pull you into a hug which surprised you more than ever. You relaxed and buried your head into his neck as much as you could since you were sitting down.
"(Y/N) It was my fault I really don't want to lose you again." Then as you were about to say something your phone went off. You gave a very angry sigh at the dam phone and looked at it. It was the director which slowed your cool and you replied to him after telling Tony you had to go to a meeting. Though you didn't want to leave you had to but before you left you gave him a kiss on the lips and he kissed you more passionately back not wanting to let you go. You missed his kisses but you had to go. You left him there staring at the door way you walked out of with a smile on his face that hasn't been on there for so dam long.
When you walked into the room you saw Coulson, Fury, the director and some council people on the screen.
"I'm in trouble aren't I?" You questioned looking at the corner to see Steve in a chair. There was one next to him and since there was no other chair left to sit in you went over and sat next to him.
"Just listen to them very carefully before you say something (Y/N)" Rogers whispered to you and you gave a nod.
"Okay so you've agreed on the terms of the accords that if we have someone you trust working with them you will get rid of all the mess that the accords caused and the dam paper that I think is so god dam stupid." Fury said and you couldn't help but smile at his remark. You agreed with that man in so many levels he was like a brother to you or a father either or you guys were very close. You could see in the corner his lips start to go up a bit. He got a kick out of making the council people mad.
"Yes and you have candidates for who should be on the Avengers. So let's see it." Said a lady on the screen who was clearly not amused by Fury's remark.
"Yes we have either Agent May, Agent Coulson or Agent (Y/L)." The director said. You really weren't keen on learning the mans name since you really didn't want to know it, but you never though the man would suggest you. What would Stark think about this. Dam he's already on your mind again and it was distracting.
"Ms.(Y/L) what do you think about joining the Avengers? You seem to have lived with Stark when he was with the team." You looked at the screen and you stood up and made your way so she could fully see you. You could point out some of them from when you met them at the Hub Aka Shields old main place.
"To be honest I have no problem with any of them. I had always put my loyalty to the team and the government when needed most. I have shown that by coming back to Shield even after being accused of working for Hydra. Heck some people are still pretty mad for getting accused of that matter of factly. But let's not talk about that now. I've met some of you in person and understood your point of view. You want to have the minimal damage but many lives saved as can be. But I'm going to be quiet blunt here so hear me out. They can't do both without failing the other. Can't stop most of the damage without losing lots of lives. They can't save a lot of people and create minimal damage to the city or town." You said and you realized you got off topic real fast.
"I am very sorry for getting off topic been on my mind all day I guess." You apologized.
"Actually I'm glad you pointed that out. You have great courage for stating the truth to us. So we here by choose Agent (Y/L) to represent our choice to join the Avengers." The woman said and they all nodded in agreement.
