The city still shook from Scarecrow's attack and the militia's invasion. The streets still talked of the unmasking of the Bat, and the "murder" of Bruce Wayne. Many of the Knight's militia's tanks and objects and been cleared out of the city, and many people were starting to move past the attack.

But one person that would never forget the traumatic events: the Arkham Knight, or better known as Red Hood. Jason's persona of the Knight had been relinquished, and he had donned the name of Red Hood. Under this new personality, he had already taken down Black Mask, and taken over a storage depot in Kingston to use as a safe-house and spent most of his time there. There was nothing happening. There were rarely any large crimes that took his interest, and if they did, Robin got to half of them before Jason could.

He often looked back at what it was like to be Robin. The job had its perks, its benefits, and its illustrious amounts of experience. He could remember Bruce and himself stopping a bank robbery at the Bank of Gotham, in which the Maroni's were leading. The two worked together nicely for the first time, and it was a memory that stuck in Jason's mind ever since. But being Robin also has its downfalls.

He constantly had a shadow looking over his shoulder. Jason always had to watch his decision making and sometimes it was harder working with him than fighting the scum of Gotham. But the memory of being Robin was behind him. He was no longer Robin, no longer the Arkham Knight, and he had finally pushed his vengeance against the Batman aside. It was time to bring about his own brand of justice.

Jason opened his eyes to the dim lighting of a bed side lamp. The room he had fashioned for himself was small, but it did the job. The small table to the left of the bed held Jason's firearms: his two signature handguns, an assault rifle, and the sniper rifle he acquired during his time as the Arkham Knight. He sat up on the edge of his bed and took a deep breath in. The nightmares had slowed down but they didn't stop. What Joker did to him in the Asylum would be with him forever, but he subdued the thoughts of them when he was awake. During his sleep, he had no control though. The nightmares happened periodically and Jason always woke up from them out of breath.

Jason couldn't even remember the last time he had been happy. The Joker had hollowed him out and filled him with hate and rage, all orientated towards Bruce. He finally felt something other than rage. It was, at times, confusing to him, as he didn't know how to feel after the events that unfolded in the last few months. But he had to push his feelings aside in this line of work, they would just get in the way. Jason stood up and stretched, and grabbed a grey plain t-shirt. He made his way to the main part of his safe-house, where a computer of sorts was set up to monitor events in Gotham and Bludhaven. Unlike Batman, Jason planned on moving between cities to cover more ground, even if that meant invading precious Nightwing's home turf.

He slumped down in the chair adjacent to the computer and stared at the screen. The screen displayed small crimes, but there were few. A few weeks ago, a lot of crime diminished due to a strike force put out by Commissioner Aaron Cash. This strike force, instead of going after the big time super villains, hunted down small criminals and really started to get to the root of crime in Gotham. At first it was a dull mission, but then it picked up. Small robberies and muggings diminished. But four days ago, a man by the name of Lonnie Machin, better known as the extremist Anarky, led a large group of his followers into Blackgate and caused a breakout. But in this breakout, he only busted a small certain number of super criminals out. The escapees included Penguin, Two Face, Pyg, and Floyd Lawton. Jason guessed that he wanted to cause some up roar in Gotham, and he must have picked the right one. Judge Micheal Quimby had already been taken out due to somehow ending up on Deadshot's list.

Jason watched the screen, as an alert showed up on the bottom right. Jason clicked on it and a live airing of Gordon, the Mayor.

"The last couple months have been hectic," he said. "For us all. The murder of Bruce Wayne, and the recent breakout at Blackgate. These events are hard, but we must stick together in times like these." his voice sounded both confident and nervous, as if he didn't know what was coming. "We have to do something about the roaming super villains in this town, and obviously Blackgate's current accommodations are not suited to house these criminals."

Jason knew what was coming. He sat up straight and took a deep breath.

"As of yesterday, construction has begun to rebuild the new and improved, Arkham Asylum."

Jason blinked slowly and muttered, "Well shit.'
