"Ugh, when is this class over? I'm going to die before this torture ends!" Jackson whined as he laid his head down onto his desk, sprawling his arms out on either side. You giggled at how cute he was when he was impatient. He turned his head towards you, smiling at the fact that he'd somehow made you laugh.
"Chill dude. Class is over in like 10 seconds." Youngjae said from your other side. You sat in-between your two favorite (only) guy friends. "Pfft, I wish." Jackson scoffed. "3.. 2.. 1.." Youngjae said right before the bell rang with good timing. "Haha wow! You were right!" You exclaimed, smiling at his accuracy while Jackson just rolls his eyes as the three of you gather your stuff to leave.
You and Youngjae met Jackson in your first year of highschool. He had transferred from Hong Kong and was in the middle of learning Korean. Although he didn't completely know the Korean language, he managed to make people laugh and smile. You wanted to be closer to him so you dragged Youngjae over to him one day and introduced yourselves. He's been in your little group ever since.
You've known Youngjae ever since the two of you were little kids. He was like your partner-in-crime. You remember the day you met him. You had met at the park.
You were swinging and wondered how it'd feel to just jump off. Who knows what you were thinking; you were a kid. Once you did, you landed on your hands and knees and scraped your hand. It hurt so bad that you started to cry.
You suddenly stopped crying when someone helped you up. "Are you okay?" A little boy asked. "N-no." You replied with a sniffle. "Here." He said as he suddenly placed a Batman bandaid onto your scraped hand, "My mom always makes me carry some of these when I go out to play." You stared down at your hand and then at him.
Suddenly he lifted your hand and kissed it. Your eyes widened. "My mom also does this for me.. She says it makes the pain go away." He says with a big smile. "T-thank you..." You mumbled, staring at your hand again. "No problem! Since I fixed your hand, let's be friends! I'm Youngjae!" He exclaimed.
You smiled as you remembered that day. "Are you coming or not?" Jackson shouted, waiting by the classroom door with Youngjae. "Coming!" You replied, grabbing your stuff and running to them.
Even though you were really close with these boys, there was one secret you haven't told one of them. You were afraid of it changing the way things were right now. The secret was that you've had a crush on Jackson ever since he transferred here and that was the only reason you dragged Youngjae with you to become friends with him that day (Youngjae is aware of this). In the beginning, you were so happy that he accepted to be friends with you guys but lately you've felt like you couldn't handle being just friends anymore.
The three of you had gotten your things and headed out of the school side by side. "Guys, let's hang out! I don't have any chores to go do at home." You said with a smile, happy that you had free time unlike most days where chores would sprout every second. "Alright." Jackson and Youngjae replied simultaneously. You instantly perked up hearing Jackson's agreement, not that you weren't happy that Youngjae agreed too.
After a long discussion between the guys about where the three of you should go, you decided to step in with your suggestion, "Alright! Let's go shopping!" With your mind made up, you started walking towards the shopping district of town, completely missing the looks the boys gave you before following behind.
You were looking for the right store to browse when you heard Jackson exclaim, "Whoa! It's a hat store! I've been needing some new hats." "Yeah, this store is so cool. I always come here for my snapbacks." Youngjae said. Then suddenly the two looked at you with puppy dog eyes. "Pfft fine, we can go inside." You said with a chuckle. "Woooooo!" Jackson yelled, running into the store. "What a dork." You mumbled. "A dork that you're crushing on." Youngjae whispered into your ear as you went inside with him holding the door open for you.
