Chapter 4

Matt's POV - Next Day

After a good nights sleep we wake up to Aaron jumping on our bed.

"Mommy! Daddy! someone's at the door!" Aaron says getting off the bed and running to the living room. Why is someone here at... oh never mind. it's 9:35 that's fine.

I open the door to Carter and his little boy.

"Hey Carter!" I hug my friend. His son, Will, stands hugging his leg.

"Say hi to uncle Matt." Carter says picking him up.

"Hi..." he wears glasses like Carter but had to get them early because while Sierra, Carter's dead girlfriend, was giving birth I guess there was some birth defects because she died while giving birth.

Scary.

"Come in man." I say moving out of the way. Ann comes out from the hall smiling, wrapping a blanket around herself.

"Hey Carter! oh Will you are so big!" she says hugging them both and then taking Will from Carter. He loves her.

"Who wants breakfast?" Ann yells.

"I DO!" we all yell, walking to the kitchen. I grab Aaron's old highchair for Will and sit down myself.

"How's eggs, bacon, and pancakes to everyone?" Ann asks.

"MAKE WAFFLES MOMMY!" Aaron yells.

"Aaron!! stop yelling!" I say.

"Daddy! stop being so old!" he says back. I ruffle his hair. "stop!" he says glaring at me.

Ann starts the waffles and eggs and I help with the bacon. well mostly talking to Carter but still.

"Oh my gosh!" Ann yells running to the front door.

"TAYLOR!" she screams. I look out the kitchen window and see Cassie, Taylor, and Betty. Taylor is hugging Ann, Cassie is holding Betty and laughing as Ann freaks out over them being here.

"I missed you guys do much! how long has it been..? two years?" I hear Ann say as they walk into the house.

"Almost. and we missed you too!" Cassie says setting Betty at the table next to Aaron.

"Ann this place is so nice!" Taylor says looking around. the sunlight flooded our huge kitchen and filled it, kind of with a happy glow to it.

"Thank you. we bought it at the beginning of the year and are now FINALLY moving in." She says.

"Hey Taylor!" I say finally being able to talk.

"HEY!" he half yells. we laugh and do a little weird handshake thing.

"Ann the waffles!" I say.

"Oh yah!" She runs over and gets them off the pan thing.

-Carter's POV-

"Did you burn them mommy?" Aaron asks.

"Of course not!" Ann exclaims.

"Daddy..." Will whines looking at me with puppy dog eyes.

"What's wrong bud?" I ask picking him up. he whimpered a little, cuddling into my chest. "awh bud." I say stroking his little head.

"Taylor! but Betty down!" Cassie laughs. I look up at their little family. Betty is so lucky to have a mom. I still can't believe, after two years, that my sweet baby is gone.

Sierra was my everything, and when we found out she was pregnant I was overwhelmed with happiness. then...she died.

"Are you okay Carter?" Taylor asks.

"Oh yah, just..yah." I say awkwardly. he pays my shoulder. knowing what I'm thinking

"The pain will go away one day my good friend. one day."

"Let's hope."

-Ann's POV-

I look at Carter, his sad expression pains me. I know he's thinking about Sierra.

Sierra and I became good friends after she met Carter. and I could tell they loved each other.

I feel so bad! Carter doesn't deserve this pain.

Wait...

I haven't updated in AGES.

I'm a cruel person obviously.
