She is the only child of her scientist parents . Her parents were one of the most successful scientists in the country she lived in . It was probably because they were hardworkers and gave priority to their work above everything, even their own child . She was born with red hair and red eyes and she had a cheerful personality. But her parents didn't like her cheerfulness, they wanted her to be serious about her studies as they wanted her to succeed the She was not so popular at college and had a small friend circle , Her friends were T , S and m , it was because her parents never allowed her to enjoy the proper life of a teenage girl. In spite of that she managed to have few friends. With everything she accepted her life as the way it was . But things started to get worse for her when she reached her 20th birthday. She couldn't bring the excepted result to her parents and they were getting really angry on her. They decided to punish her. They sometimes didn't let her eat or get out of her room. They even made her stay in the dark for hours . She always faced difficulties but she coped with it , but sudden changes in her parents, she could not accept it. She tried to remain cheerful as much as possible but her mind was breaking. She had changes in herself too. She knew she was slowly going insane. After 2 months of torture she was given a chance to prove herself with her studies by her parents. When she went back to college she was expecting her friends to be worried and who should have been waiting for her to return, instead she was shocked by the behaviours of her friends. They treated her like a nobody and also bit of bullied her. On the door way to the classroom M pushed her and made her fall saying " you are the worst! even your own parents hate you!!" the other students started laughing at her but she didn't react. At lunch S purposely dumped wasted food on her and walked away calling her "rotten red". Her day was already worst but she had to face more .T tried to harrase her but forcefully taking her to an empty room but she kicked him and ran away. Later she found a note from him, the writing was " if i see you smiling again or try to be with us, i will make you regret your face". She was betrayed. She thought she could get comfort from her friends but she was pushed away by them. She realised that they were not her real friends at all. All of this situations came down like a thunderstorm upon her. She was betrayed by her family and friends. But she loved them way too much to return the bad behaviour towards them. She started to hurt herself. She became more silent and stayed in her room. Even though she went to college but she sat on a corner and avoided any communication with anyone. At home her parents ignored her completely and didn't seem to care about her cuts on the body. Her parents didn't care about her feelings at all rather they were only concerned about her studies. But she was not studying at all. She was heartbroken with her parents who were always ready to torture her if they didn't get a good result from her studies . She was fade up with her friends who forgot her and left her when she needed them the most. She could not cope with anything anymore. Later on her parents got a notice from her college and found that she had bad result again and that made them very angry. They thought that it might be the fault of her brain and they should try to fix it. They wanted to fix their child for their desires. So they started making a machine that might help with their experiment . Mean while they continue torturing her by locking her in dark room and not letting her to eat enough. She was losing her mind , she became completely robot-like . She used to cut her body more and more. She found that she felt relieved after that. She didn't care anymore about what was happening to her. She was expecting something worse to come upon her. Days passed like that. One day, after she returned home from her college , she saw her parents waiting for her, though she was not surprised as she thought they were going to punish her as usual. But that was not the case, her parents had a surprise ready for her. They told her to follow them to their lab which she did. She was feeling bad about it but stayed calm. After they entered the lab they made her sit on a chair with a lot of machines attached to it. She asked them what was going to happen to her ,but her parents only replied her with a smile. Her mom said "we r going to make your and our life better, dear. It might hurt but it's worth it." The look on her face scared her. She could understand that something horrible was going to happen. Her dad locked her hands and legs with strong leather belts on the chair. At that point she realised that they were going to do some kind of experiment on her. She constantly started begging and crying. It was not the 1st time they heard those cries but it was the 1st time she begged. When they used to punish her, she never begged them to not treat her that way.But sometimes she cried and asked them to let her get out of the dark room as it frightened her. But that didn't effect her parents at all. In that chair she kept on begging saying that " please mom, please dad, let me go, you can't do this to me! I am sorry, I will study! I will listen to everything you say, I will be a good daughter! Please let me go ". But her parents remained silent. They continued plugging wires, cables and fixed everything that had to be done. She kept on begging, she felt her throat as it was a sandpaper because of her continuous begs. The lab was soundproof that's why nobody from the outside could hear screams. When the preparation was done they placed a helmet like machine on her head which was suppose to give her electric shock. They expected that the electric wave of a specified frequency might improve her brain. There were two needles which entered through her skull into her brain, she screamed on top of her lungs. Those needles were for injecting chemicals that were prepared by her parents. They started the experiment. They stood both side of her and were operating the frequencies of the electric waves and supplying amount of chemicals. They were happy that they were finally going to have the perfect child . She kept on screaming because it was too much hurtful to her. She felt like her brain was melting as she felt electricity was flowing through her every vein and burning them. Her parents were satisfied with their work. They increase the power level to speed up the process but that was a mistake. Suddenly there was a loud burst on one of the wires , the panel her dad was operating caught fire. It was burning and also her dad as he was caught on electricity. He was controlling the chemicals supply . Her mother screamed seeing her husband getting fried like a barbeque in front of her. She tried to rush to him and tripped on the wires that were lying on the floor. She fell hard on the floor on her nose and it broke. Blood was spilling from her . She stood up and tried to turn off the line. But it was too late as her husband was deep fried and burnt like charcoal. Meanwhile because of the accident of her father, the amount of chemicals supply increased along with the frequency of the electric wave made Avien stop screaming and she became still. She was sitting there as if she was a doll. Her mother noticed that and tried to unplug the cables. But suddenly there was a short circuit and the machine started jerking dangerously along with her. She was shaking like a doll. Her mother tried to stop the power but she couldn't move anymore,she was loosing sense as she was badly loosing blood. The lab got filled with smoke and there were electricity coming out of the machine. The power level got too high and there was a burst of electricity and all the power went off. Her mother fell on the floor , she realised that she was at her end. The last thing she saw was she sitting motionless and she was pale as almost white. She woke up after how many minutes or hours she didn't know. But she couldn't feel herself. At first she thought she was dead but then she opened her eyes. She found herself in a hospital bed. There were bandages around her head , neck , hands, wrists and thighs. Her head was bandaged because of the needles and it might have been bleeding and the rest of her body was cut by herself. That moment everything came flowing back to her. She remembered what happened to her, but she wondered why was she in the hospital and why were there bandages on her healed cuts. She saw a doctor coming to her room and he greeted her " it's a miracle that you are alive" . She was puzzled by his words and asked him what had happened and why was she in a hospital. What she heard was beyond her imagination. Doctor said "someone from it neighbour called the police when they was smoke coming out of your parents' lab, then the police called us" he added " we found you on an experimental machine, which was badly malfunctioned. Electricity and chemicals were injected in you to make an experiment in you. And it is hard to believe that it was done by your parents. " he stopped to breathe and look at her with a surprised and sad expression. She remained calm. He continued " it's a matter of horror that the machine was almost destroyed and something very wrong happened " she couldn't understand what was he saying and she was becoming impatient, she asked him about her parents. He said " you are not expecting this but we have to let you know that your parents are dead. " she was shocked to hear that. But suddenly she felt happy and excited . Though she didn't express her joy. She couldn't understand why was she feeling like that, she was suppose to cry yet she remained silent. Doctor was bit of shocked to see her calm . Their conversation continued. She asked "How did they die? ". Doctor paused at the coldness in her voice, he was surprised but continued " your father died by getting heavy amount of electric shock and your mother died by heavy blood loss , she broke her nose by falling on the floor" . This time Avien bit of laughed this time and said " funny, wasn't it suppose to be me who was to get the shocks ? " The doctor was getting worried this time seeing how she reacted to his words. He continued " they created the machine with safety measures which was why you might have survived but it was almost impossible for anyone to survive with all those dangerous chemicals and electric waves, but you did. " Doctor stopped and looked at her and saw her smiling. This time he was getting scared . He said the last thing to her before leaving , he said that " the experiment was failed, you might want to see yourself in the mirror, that experiment caused great changes in you, we checked and found that your old cuts were opened and they were not healing anymore, though they were not bleeding. Without these you are fine" . After that he left quickly. Seeing her smiling like that he thought that experiment might also damaged her sanity. She got up from the bed and walked to the mirror that was placed at a corner of the room. She was amazed at what she was looking at. She was now completely pale almost as white, her red hair was now the lightest pink as if the color faded. The most amazing thing was her eyes, now they were light pink with bit of light orange on the upper side. There were no pupils and her eyes looked like they were blank. Though her eye sight was completely fine. Seeing herself like that she was so much happy. She was satisfied with herself. She was also feeling happy that her parents were finally gone and she could be free. She realised that moment that her sanity was completely gone. She wanted to get out of that hospital but before that she wanted to see her parents for the last time. She asked the doctor if she could see them but he said it was not possible to let her see because she might not like the view. Doctor expected her to plead to see them but she said she didn't care anymore she just wanted to leave. She also told them to complete any ritual that was needed and do it without her. After that she left and went back to her home. The 1st thing she did was going to the lab to see that place. She felt excited there because that was the place where her life changed. Then she went through her parents' tools and machinery. She found a different looking knife and picked it up. It was sharp on both sides and had a very pointy end . And the handle was pink! Holding that knife she felt a strong lust to kill someone, anyone she might find. Because she wanted revenge. She wanted to make those people suffer who hurt her. She remembered about her friends. She went back to her room to get ready. She removed the bandages from her head. She dressed herself. But she felt somethings were still missing. She looked through her room and suddenly her eyes caught a white mask. She remembered making it with her friends for a play in the college where she played as a masquerade. She picked it up and broke it into half. She wore the left side half and smashed the other half completely into pieces. Then she took her stuffed black colored bunny which she made and used to play with it and used a belt to tie it on her back like a backpack. She couldn't leave it behind as it was her only friend left. Now she was ready. It was almost night which was the perfect time for her to finish her job. She went out when it was completely dark and her 1st target was M. She went to her home and climbed up the tree that lead to her window. M liked to leave the window open while she slept and never thought that might become dangerous. She went inside through the window and slowly walked to sleeping M. She then carefully placed the blanket she was sleeping with in her mouth so that when she would scream she won't make much sound. Also she tighed up her hands carefully on the headboard of the bed. Then she lifted M's dress up to her chest where her heart was. Then with a swift move she cut open her chest. M instantly woke up and started screaming but couldn't make much sound or move her hands. She continued opening her chest until she found the ribs and she smashed them. She thanked that failed experiment because it gave her a lot of strength enough to break bones. Then she grabbed the beating heart and pulled it out. M was screaming because of the horror in her sight and the pain. She finally spoke, " M , I thought you had a heart, but actually you didn't, so you don't deserve this one too! " M recognised the voice but it was too late for her to understand anything, she tore up her heart as blood spilled and splashed everywhere. M screamed and slowly died. She looked at the bloody heart and placed it on the bed side table. Then she cut it into pieces until it was impossible to tell that it was once a heart. Then she left for her next 2 friends. S lived alone in her apartment and always kept a spare key under the welcome mat outside of her door. It was very stupid of her but she kept it for any emergency. Yes, it was an emergency for her to kill her and that key was what she used to get in and kill her in the very same way as she killed M. Her last target was T . He also lived alone and it was an easy job for her to finish. When she was done with her work, she stopped at T' s place and took a bath. She thought herself dirty because she was covered with bad people's blood. She even washed her clothes and dried them in the laundry at his home. All this time she had her smile on her face and a blank look in her eyes. After this she left. She was satisfied and happy with what she had done, but her lust to kill didn't stop. She decided that she would continue to kill all those person whom she would think that he or she doesn't deserve a heart. She named herself as Masquerade who will come to take away the heart of heartless people. She left T's home and walked down the wood behind his home and disappeared in the darkness. And smile on her expressionless face remained.
