Sans walked through the Snowden, white thick clouds at his ankles. It had snowed extra heavily yesterday night, but he couldn't admit to his brother that he had lost yet another job. He still remembered the time that he had to get a job at muffets. Seeing his brother there everyday and... serving him, was completely humiliating.
Ever since the day I actually had to go home early from work, because my brother became too drunk to get there himself, I promised that I would never work at muffets again. I guess... I'm going to have to break that promise now. I have to... I'm the one who takes care of everything at home. If... if I loose another job... we... hic... we could loose the house. Sob... we could wind up on the streets again.
Sans began to tear up at the thought. And before he knew it, he was on the ground crying his little soul out. This was unfair. This was so unfair. He ran into the forest to have some privacy. He couldn't help but keep crying. Eventually the tears blurred his eye sockets and he could no longer keep going. His back slammed into a tree and he slid down its bark. Just like the front door. But this time he cried. And he kept crying until he had no more tears left. Thank god his brother wasn't here to see him like this. He would have been so humiliated. He would never be able to show his face in Snowden ever again. Especially to papy. At that though, another sound slowly became louder within his earshot. The sounds of metal clanking... and... people talking?
Blue: "wha...? What's that?"
Sans crawled quietly to the corner of the forest, overlooking a small drop off to a clearing. Right below him and the large mound of dirt was... alphas? She sat at a desk signing some papers. Sans was about to say something when he spotted a small dog monster approach her first. Blue stood back down and hidden as he awaited his turn to speak to her... maybe he could even get a second chance? He'd do anything to avoid... muffets again. Or any of the other jobs he had lost before due to his brothers interference...
Dog monster: "excuse me miss alphas? Can I join the royal guard please?"
Alphas: "huh?... eh sure why not. The training camps are that way. Go see undying, she'll sign you in."
Dog monster: "oh ok! Thank you."
Alphas: "yah whatever. We could use the extra guards anyways."Blue: "wha? Wait what?"
Sans curled back into the shadows, trying to process what just happened. But for some reason... he couldn't. It was just too... surreal. He staid back behind a tree and watched this exact same scenario play over and over again. A bunch of new dog monsters, just barely any older than he was, getting excepted right away into the royal guard. No questions asked?, no special training?, no obstacle course? Sans couldn't believe his eyes and ears. He... he was lied too. He felt betrayed. That's it. I've had enough of being used. Do they think this if Funny? Do they think I'm just... playing around. Because if they do...
(Blues starry eyes have disappeared)
Then they just made a VERY big mistake.
