My Babies

* DANIEL'S P.O.V.*

I kept getting repentantly getting calls from unknown numbers . I finally answer to one of the calls , as a Middle Aged women speaks to me though the phone .

" Hello .. Mr. Simmons ..? This is Oaks Smiths Hospital . And i was wondering of you knew a Kimberly Tanay Simmons ..? " the nurse says sternly .

" Uh .. Yes ..Yes she's my wife .. Why what's wrong ..?" I say biting on my lower lip .

" Here and the babies got into a carwreck , and she's not responding . And the baby's cant breath , because she's not breathing so we put her on an air machine ." The nurse says

" Uh .. I'll be there" I say as my voice cracks . I rush to wake Chase , up getting him ready . I grab blankets and snacks .

I place Chase in the car , as he sits up he looks at my rubbing his eyes sleepily looking confused .

" Um .. Daniel where's mommy ..? She never came home " Chase says sleepily

" Chase , when your mother left . She got in a car wreck , so where going to visit her in the twins .they said she's not doing to we'll " I say breathing heavily .

" I hope she okay " Chase says looking down

I smile , trying to be strong for Chase . I hug him , then I get I'm the car . I put the key in the ignition , then I look back at Chase , as he holds his head down .

" She'll be fine buddy " I say driving off .

I start driving toward the Oaks Smiths Hospital . We made it there in 20- 30 minutes . Once we arrived I help Chase , out of the car . We walk inside to the waiting area . I walk to the women at the front desk , i tell Chase to take a seat .

" Ma'am I'm looking for and Kimberly Tanay Simmons" I say while tapping my fingers on the desk .

" She's not aloud to have any visitors , but I'll have the doctors come out to explain what happened to her " The nurse , says while fixing her glasses .

" Fuck" I say knocking the can filled with pencils and pens , off of the desk .

I take a seat next to Chase , as I tap my leg . I look at Chase , as I notice him dozing off . I tried staying away . But my eyes became heavily , so I drifted off to sleep .

" Family of Kimberly Tany Simmons " the doctor comes out , mid way yelling .

I sit up , as I pick up chase . Walking over to the doctor .

" We're the family of Kimberly Tany Simmons " I say nervously

" We'll you can go back in visit her in room A-36 , she's awake . But she's been kinda sore so we haven't checked on the babies yet ,to see how there doing . But as soon as possible .,we will check on them ." The doctor says looking at me .

" O-Okay thank you " I say , whole walking off to Kimberly's room .

I take the elevator to floor A Then I start walking to her room door , I carry Chase . As I feel my arms get weak because I get nervous . And because Chase is heavy for a 10 year old . But once we make it to her door , I knock on it . I hear Kimberly say come in , as her voice cracks .

I open the door , slightly walking in , as I see her looking down at her belly , rubbing it . I sit Chase in the chair next to her bed . As I walk over to her bed , I smile slightly grabbing her hand . I kiss her chapped and slightly cracked lips . I hear her whisper something to me .

" Daniel , im scared I messed up . I should have stayed home .. My babies could be d-dead . " Kimberly says as tears run down her cheeks .

" Kimberly baby it's okay , they will be fine . I know they will be. I have fait- " I get interrupted by someone knocking on the door .

I say come in as the nurse as of she can speak to me about Kimberly , I agree i walk into the hallway talking to the nurse .

" Yes " I say looking at her .

" Sir .. We've been trying to get Kimberly to eat all day but she refuses , and just Incase the baby's are alive . She needs to eat so they can get nutrition " the nurse says looking at me .

" O-Okay .. I'll get her to eat" i say .

I walk to the cafeteria and pick her some low fat baked lays chips , a cup of jell-o and a bottle of water and apple Juice . With a bowl of sliced fruit . I come back , and I see Kimberly looking at me with all the food items in my hands .

" Kimberly .. You need to eat " I say putting the food down Infront of her

"but I don't really want to Daniel " she say looking at her belly .

" It's for the babies . They said just Incase the babies are alive , you need to eat so they can get nutrition " I say opening the bowl of sliced fruit handing her the fork.

" I don't wanna eat .. But I'm only doing it for the children "'she says , picking up a slice of pineapple with a fork .

She so stubborn . I smile , looking at her , as she frowns putting fruit in her mouth , I smile waking Chase up telling her that were at the hospital . He smiles as he talks to his mom .

I sit on the bed with Kimberly , cuddling up next to her , as I rub her belly . While placing my hands around her waist . As she finishes her bag out chips , I smile kissing her belly telling her everything will be fine .

I smile talking to the babies .

" Hey Heaven in Nevaeh . It's your daddy here , I know your alive In there baby girls . And just know that mommy daddy and Chase loves you" I say placing my hands on her belly .

" Oh my gosh " Kimberly screams .

" What's wrong " I say sitting up

Kimberly starts crying .

" T-There A-Alive .... they just kicked " Kimberly says crying tears of joy .

I smile rubbing her belly while mumbling " Your daddy's soldiers ..I knew you were alive ,. I never lost doubt in you guy"
