Because Of You

First Day

"Come on Oli!" Joey called out to his son. Oliver, his 11 year old son is riding the bus while Joey drives his 9 year old daughter Veronica or Ronnie to school.
Oli's in 6th and Ronnie's in 3rd. Oli is unfortunately not in any of Joeys classes.

Oli came running down the stairs with his black hair slicked back and wearing khakis and a blue flannel. Ronnie was sitting eating the breakfast with her brownish and blackish hair in a pony tail and a polka dotted dress.

"You look very nice today Oli and you did you hair by yourself!" Joey congratulated him.

"Thank you. Now Dad, I don't want to be late so I love you," he gave him a kiss and a hug.

"I love you, have fun." He smiled at his son as he watched him out on his backpack and lunchbox.

"Bye Ronnie!" Oli hugged her and yelled bye one more time before he ran off to the bus stop. Joey watched him to make sure he was safe. When he approached to bus stop with the other kids he turned around to Ronnie and sat down beside her.

"So, you have any tests today?"

"I have a spelling test but I studied so I'll try my best, Dad." She smiled and took her last bite of eggs and drank the rest of her orange juice.

"Well, you're a very smart and pretty girl so I'll know you'll do good." He cleaned up her dishes and put them in the sink.

"Oh da- darnit! I forgot to tell Oli something." He caught himself before saying a bad word.

"What did you forget? I'll tell him on the bus." Ronnie said.

"Make sure to tell him that when you guys get home Monica and Rachel are going to be here because I have a meeting with a parent. There's a new kid."

"Oh, what's his name?"

"I think something like.. Zach.. Zachary Bing?" She giggled. "What's so funny?" That last name sounded so familiar to Joey.

"His last name is Bing." She laughed again.

"Yeah, funny isn't it? Well we got to leave. Go grab your lunch and book bag." He told her and looked in the mirror. He fixed his hair a little bit and ran back to Ronnie.

"Let's go!" He opened the door for her and held her hand as they walked to the car. After they got situated he got in the car and drove off to her school.

"Daddy?"

"Yes, sweetheart?"

"Umm, well. There is this really mean girl who keeps making fun of the way I dress and calling me stupid."

"Well, did you tell the teacher?"

"No, not yet."

"Do that first, and if that doesn't work then I'll handle it for you, baby. You look beautiful the way you are and you're the smartest little girl I know."

"Thank you, you always know how to cheer me up." He looked at her through the mirror and smiled. They approached the school about five minutes later.

"Alright, I love you! And if they're mean to you just remember what I said, and don't let them bring you down!" He said to her as she opened the door.

"Love you, bye!" She waved off as she went inside the school. He sighed happily as he drove off to the school.

A new student? There's never a new student. Did they just move here? He needs to text Ross when he gets to the school. Joeys so stressed. A new kid, he has two kids, he just got divorced and SOMEHOW won custody over the children, he's making good money, his friends got his back. Well still, work is hard for him. He approached the middle school and parked in the parking lot and walked up to the school. There weren't really any kids in the hall but the bell was about to ring so Joey rushed to his classroom and got ready. The bell rang and kids flowed through.

"Morning class!" They groaned at him.

"You tired this morning?" They yelled yes. "Well don't worry. Today's a bit of a laid back day. First we need to call roll and then I have someone for you guys to meet." He smiled.

"Ryan."

"Here."

"Jack."

"Here."

"Lucy."

"Here."

He called all the students names and the last one was the new student.

"Zachary."

"Here." He said calmly. Everyone whispered because they've never seen him before and didn't notice until now. They looked at him and then back to Joey.

"Mr. Tribbiani?" A student named Alex asked.

"Yes Alex?" He said as he walked to the front of the classroom.

"Is Zachary the person you wanted us to meet? The new kid?" He asked.

"Actually yes is," Joey said. "Zachary, why don't you come up here and tell us some stuff about you." Joey motioned for him to come up. He walked up to the front very proud and excited and not really nervous at all. He flipped his brown hair and started talking.

"My name is Zachary Bing. I just moved from Los Angeles to here. I am 11 years old but turning 12 one March 22nd. I also like to play basketball, football, soccer.. Really anything."

"Well that's some good information. Go and take you seat, I have something to discuss." Zachary took his seat and all the girls drooled over him. His brown hair flipped and his blue eyes shined.

"So, today. Is going to be a chill day. Since I teach Science, I have a worksheet on what we learned yesterday on light. It's really easy but if you have anything you need help with come ask me." He passed out papers. "Ill pay some music but maybe tomorrow you guys can put on a list of suggestions."

He turned on a playlist of songs and turned down the volume just a bit.

"Zachary can you come over here for a second?" Zach nodded and came up to him.

"Have you looked at the sheet yet?"

"Yes sir," he nodded.

"Do you understand it?"

"Well, no not really."

"Okay that's fine. I wasn't really expecting the same school to be learning the same thing. But if you want you can read or write or draw or something." Joey suggested.

"Okay, thank you." Zachary smiled.

"No problem." When he sat down he opened up his tracker and grades tests as he wrote the grades down. As he finished it was time for lunch.

"Okay guys when we get back  from lunch, we'll watch a video and then that'll be class." They all lined up and walked to lunch. Joey sat down next to Phoebe Buffay or Ms. Buffay.

"Hey Pheebs? I need a to talk to you it's very important."

Hey! A Chanoey fanfic! This is new and I just recently finished friends. Like 2 months ago... But I'm still binge watching it and can't get enough of it. I hope you guys like it. I'll update everyday. If I miss a day in sorry, I probably just am busy. On big tests I have in school I will probably write a really long chapter and update as much as I can before finals. Finals is in 2 months so that's exciting.
